Amazing place. Beautiful outside area along with covered open area and inside restaurant. Service was awesome. Such a friendly, helpful waiter although the wait between starter and main was quite long due to how busy it was. It didn’t matter though as with a lovely house red and chat it was relaxing and let us get plenty hungry for our main. Starters I had the most delicious beef ragu, followed by the breaded pork escalope. My bf had the lamb chops — there were 5 of them!!! So much food and all was delicious. For dessert I had the most lovely cheesecake. In all it came to 60 € with tip which was amazing value for 3 courses, bread, wine and water along with beautiful location and the friendliest waiter(very good English!)

Located in Greve in Chianti, we absolutely loved this gem! We enjoyed it so much the first time we cam back another night for dinner during our stay. Cozy spot on the outside patio was great! Lots of locals dinning here. My husband had the beef steak Florentine and I had a Bolognese dish with tagliatelle al ragu. I thought everything was so perfect from the wine, bread, bruschetta, the smell in the air! After all, it’s Italy! All the vegtables were super fresh — nothing like a italian tomato picked right from the branch. Grazie! Grazie! We will be back.

Had a lovely lunch here while visiting Chianti. This place was so dreamy and quiet, even when it got busier and louder, if that makes any sense. The owner that everyone is raving about was there, and everyone at the restaurant was very welcoming and into their food, and into us! Crostini and rib eye was delicious. Also desert was out of this world, but I don’t know the name, it looked like Napoleon but 10000 better.

I’m happy to have the honor of being the first reviewer of this outstanding restaurant. We were staying at a villa in Panzano and the caretaker recommended this place. It was super hard to find — it didn’t help that all of us in the car had too much wine and this place is literally up a cobble stone road, underneath an arch, just before you get to the church plaza. Super small, super charming. I suppose the difficulty of getting there adds tot he charm. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the owner who is a skinny short older Italian gentlemen, in a neat sweater. We didn’t bother asking for the specials but rather had the owner just bring us what he thought we should eat. And he did not disappoint. He did not want you to over eat so he balanced out the meal with sufficient sides, and main course — we all dug in family style and had a heck of a time. His entire family works there. You can tell he is passionate about his food. All ingredients, locally sourced, prepared in a traditional Tuscan style. I loved Dario’s.. . but I loved this place more. So much so we went back again the second night. I know people say that it was the«best meal in Italy.» But, I’ve been to Tuscany 3 times and this was literally the«best meal I had in Italy.» If you’re lucky enough to be near Panzano and if you can find this place, feel free to indulge. p. s. this is the only 5 star I have given a restaurant on Unilocal so far.
