Nice place. Medium-sized with a small bar and probably about 12 – 14 tables. Great location in Polcenigo center, right next to the beautiful Gorgazzo springs/river and such. It opens a little earlier than a lot of restaurants around here– which is nice when you have kids who can’t eat dinner at 900PM. The service was good– my broken Italian matched well with the waitress’s broken English. Prices are reasonable– about 6.5 Euros for most of the small pizzas. Thicker crust then most around here, which is a nice change. The Pizza was very good, though they don’t have quite as many choices as some pizzerias in the area. I love the roasted potatoes some places put on their pizzas, but Vecchio’s doesn’t have it. Beer on tap, a few bottled beers, some mixed drinks and wines. The best thing, hands down, was the Calzone for about 7 Euro. I was expecting the run of the mill calzone I’m used to in the US, which is essentially a rolled up pizza, but this was much better. It had incredible mushrooms and ham(which was more like a salami) in the middle with cheese, and topped with a tomato sauce. The egg was optional(an option I didn’t take). One drawback– only pizza and calzone. They don’t even have the standard mixed salads or any appetizers like other places have. But, the pizza is worth the visit. I think they offer take out pizzas, as well.

Getting pizza here is as close to american pizza you can get in the area. The combinations on the pizza are legendary, and the staff always has a smile on their faces. I know they have a few excellent desserts that I have not yet tried, and also gelato with mixed reviews. I’m writing about the pizza because it’s what the restaurant is all about. People here are willing to more suggestions in what to order!

Hands down my favorite pizza place in the world. I would always get pepperoni(peppers) and garlic. And of course a hefeweizen. The diavola(pepperoni) and garlic and the calzone are also favorites.

I like this local place! This pizzeria is one of the most dependable places in polcenigo(fyi, it’s a small town so stores have their own hours and days that they are closed).I like the pizza because it is both crispy and soft. This place also has gelato, although it isn’t particularly good-mediocre at best.
