We walked in here here on a Saturday because it was the only place with availability in our area. Shady at first, but what a blessing in disguise. We really thought we had made a mistake when we sat down. The wait staff aren’t super friendly(they’re friendly enough, with time), there was an argument going on between the manager and a customer, and there are refrigerators and storage locations right in the dining room(at least the one where we ate). The place looks a bit run down and it wasn’t packed like the trendier, nicer looking places elsewhere on the street. You’ll wait– a pretty long while– for the food here. But just do it. It’s delicious and totally worth it. I had the carbonara which was great, and my wife had a pesto, which was one of the best things we’ve tasted in Italy. We also shared the meatballs, which were simple but perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. The house wine was good, as well, and everything cost only about € 40. All in all, a really pleasant surprise. Don’t let this place’s atmosphere turn you off– there is someone who knows what they’re doing in the kitchen.

Definitely not a bad restaurant. Housed a lot of locals and was pretty well packed. Good space for both outdoor and indoor seating. Staff was pretty attentive — looked family owned. My lasagna arrived a bit quicker than I expected but didn’t taste as fresh as I had hoped. Perhaps this was an isolated incident or part of an older batch. It was still decent, but I just wasn’t particularly impressed. They’re likely capable of earning four stars or at least another half.

Absolutely awesome. Off the beaten path, full of Italian locals, recommended by an amazing tour guide through Viator Roma Bike Tours(Alessandra). We still talk about this restaurant as being one of our fondest memories… One of the most delicious meals of our entire 9d Italy trip,(lasagne and spaghetti bolognese with a carafe of the red house wine), great service, and very authentic feel. Beautiful spot that we’ll be going back to if we ever get the chance. Felt very very special and romantic eating outside on the street it was located on, and in that particular neighborhood.

No problem getting a table for 2 without reservations around 8:30pm at night. They are busy, so the service was really, really slow. I think they need another waiter on staff. We ended up just walking up to the cash register to pay since we asked the waiter 3 times for the bill with no success. As for the food, it was good. Our pasta dishes were priced around 9 Euros. My husband was still hungry after the pasta, so he ordered a mushroom pizza for around 6 Euros. They automatically bring bread to the table, that’s 3 Euros. We forgot that it’s not the States, so bread usually comes with a price tag. If you don’t want it, just remember to refuse it when they bring it to the table.

Klare Emspfehlung!
