Driver Guide Service

We LOVED DGS. They made it possible to experience all the must-​see sites in Rome in one day, by driving us right up to them, explaining them to us indepth (with ipad and flipbooks showing how they looked in ancient Rome) then letting us hop out and enjoy the site while they parked where no American ever could. They provided a guide to walk us through the Vatican and explain it all. No waiting in line for attractions — we went into express lines to buy our tickets. Our drivers were friendly and interesting — it was fun to get to know a local Italian citizen. They are expert drivers (not an easy thing in Rome!) and know how and where to park or wait. The 500 euros for the whole day was well worth it. Our friends did it on their own and got robbed of almost that much on the subway, saw half as much as we did and were exhausted. They wished they had used DGS when we told them about it. We also booked a second day where they drove us into the hills just outside of Rome to Tivoli, Villa D’Este and Hadrian’s Villa — incredible experience if you have two days. Bottom line, use DGS — it opens up a whole new world you could never do on your own.
