Horrible. Would not recommend to anyone. This is my 19th city in Europe and this bus was extremely disorganized and uninformative. More like wait 30 mins, hop on, go to plug in your earphones and find it broken, hop off, wait 20 mins for the bus, only 2 people can get on, wait another 10 mins, 4 ppl get on, wait another 10 mins and finally you get on… but not before having to throw a few elbows bc of the chaos of ppl trying to get on. Waste of my money. Should have taken the metro lol

For 33 euros we used a competitor and saved 6 euros for 24 hours plus skip the line Coliseum admittance. Go early, it’s cooler and where there are buildings you will be shaded periodically. Mid day you will get direct sun on your head. Buses have no AC so riding below is not much better. Buses will issue a ticket to skip the line for the Coliseum but when you get off the bus at the Coliseum stop you have to walk about 500 yards to get the actual ticket to skip the line. You can use a special line to get the actual ticket to skip the line. This ticket will be issued to you, reservation only. We got our ticket at 1200 but could not enter until exactly 3:30. They let us go through security 5 minute early but could not get but the electronic ticket until exactly 3:30. By that time the dilapidated Coliseum, with the renovations scaffolding, concert stage all the tourist… I do recommend Hop on in the morning. Skip going in the Coliseum, must see the Vatican.

We have used the same company in other European cities and have always enjoyed the experience. We typically find it a great way to familiarize ourselves when we first arrive. Unfortunately, we found our experience in Rome quite disappointing. Very long waits, relentless and aggressive hawkers, and the tape worked only about 1⁄10th of the time we were on the bus… So we learned almost nothing about the sites or city.
It seems there is stiff competition among these bus tours in Rome — I would try a different one if I could do it again!

Insgesamt ist die Leistung schlecht:
— Intervalle sind zu lang
— Busse haben kein WiFi
— Busse sind sehr schmutzig
— das schlimmste: die Ansagen kommen zur falschen Zeit und sind zu rudimentär. Beschränken sich nur auf die aller wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten ;(
Also demnächst wieder die bewährten roten :) auch wenn sie eine Hauch teurer sind und in Rom nicht so agile Agenten haben :)

Hop on hop off bus tours are possibly the worst way to see Rome, especially in the summer. There is no air conditioning downstairs and if you sit upstairs, the blazing sun is apt to burn you to a crisp if you’re not careful. The jacks for the headphones are located on the side walls of the bus and the headphones are not long enough to reach them comfortably. The tour we were on did not stop at all locations so we missed certain landmarks. Eventually we just got off and took a cab. Rome is a very walkable city and it is easy to take the metro or walk your way around. There is so much to see and take in, doing it from a bus is no way to enjoy it properly.

It was ok, There was only one Route and it did arrive at every stop about every 5– 10 minutes, except once but it was because the police closed the roads. The bus stop signs on the street are not very visable and the plugs for the earphones did not work half the time. They did provide a Discount booklet but, nothing in it was very useful.
