Lovely garden, close to the train station and decent restaurants. Tiny room, friendly staff, on a small side canal. Very friendly and accommodating staff greeted us as we arrived into Venice early for our reservation. The room wasn’t ready yet so we waited outside at their tables overlooking the small side canal. Our room was pretty ‘compact’ as expected, though not too uncomfortable. The window that opened onto the hotel garden made up for it a bit, but hey… you aren’t going to spend much time in your hotel in Venice, right? Breakfasts were typical in the selection of breads, meats, and cheeses. Some fresh fruit and the coffee was good. Dang, these Europeans must really hate the fact we keep asking for more than one tiny pot of coffee each morning! They were pleasant enough about it, so don’t hesitate to ask. We really enjoyed the Olimpia and would stay there again on our next trip to Venice.
