Pros– a warmly welcoming owner/chef, comfortable cozy ambiance, some good dishes, including traditional breads Cons– inconsistent across dishes, menu is too broad for the capacities of the small kitchen with a solo cook; uses frozen vegetables instead of fresh. I’d really like to see the chef use seasonal ingredients in a much smaller menu, where his talents and enthusiasm would shine brighter. Recommend– if you really have a hankering for those unique Indian tastes and textures, and would like a brief break from Japanese cuisine. You will enjoy your meal but not be wow’d by it.

Good, authentic indian food close to the shrine. Lots of flavorful vegetarian options. The owner is also the chef/server and we had the pleasure of meeting him during our dinner. The inside is cute and cozy and you can get food spicy if you like. The mango and sweet lassi were great without being too sweet.
