My boyfriend and I had a great time here. It was January(off-season) so not many visitors which we liked. Got a private tour from a samurai actor and experienced almost every single exhibit. Took lots of silly pics on the sets and the fighting samurai actors were so funny. We had a great time. Wrote about the details here:

It’s placed a little walk from Japan Rail Uzumasa Station. Do you like Samurai or interested in Samurai? Here is definitely the way to go! They offer costume rental shop where you can cosplay as Samurai or a girl in Edo period. Also you can get the help of their professional hairstylists, makeup artists, and costume designers. You will get an hour walk around Toei Kyoto Studio Park with full costume! Here is the thing that I should mention is Haunted House. It was the scariest house that I have ever had. There were scary zombies with creepy sound effects when I passed through this spooky abode. Everytime I saw zombies I bawled out… so after walking around, I lost my voice from screaming too much. It’s a lot of fun and definitely not for the little kids.

I came here with my cousin and her son who lives in the United States. Regrettably, my cousin suddenly passed away one and a half year ago. Her son, Gen had been interested in Japanese culture, because he was born and has been grown up in the United States. Everything was novel, curious, unique, and amazing for him. We strolled in this Studio Theme Park. Samurai or Ninjya clad performers showed demonstration on a stage, which was very exciting, actobatic and fun! Gen was also dressed up in Ninjya costume, made a cool pose and took a picture of him. He has an Oriental face and looked good in Ninjya style. I hope it will become a treasure for him. Recreated old and tasteful buildings and streets to mimic the ones during the Edo period are used for many period dramas called«Jidaigeki». Dozens of famous actors or actresses come here and sometimes some events such as autograph sessions are held. In my high school days a popular and cool actor H.S. came here and one of my friends were excited to have shook hands with him.
