JR Shinbashi Station

JR SHIMBASHI STATION
We are staying off the Yamanote line and have JR East passes for our current stay in Japan. Since all rides are free on those lines, we’ve tried to take JR lines whenever possible. When leaving Ginza, we went to the Shimbashi station. We used this station on Monday, April 11^th around 8:45pm.
Ginza is a great area to walk around. Lots of shopping. It is more upscale, so great for someone like me who’s always looking for a nice new purse, etc. There’s also more reasonable priced shopping such as Uniqlo, Zara, etc. We actually came to Ginza to hit up Uniqlo per the roommate’s brother’s request. If you’re looking for duty free shopping, make sure to bring your passport.
Convenient station if you are staying off the Yamanote line, but don’t want to transfer to get to the Ginza station. It’s just a short walk northeast of here.

Being at the end if the line butting into Ginza made it really easy for me to drop into see my friend here and a number of good food and drink options. Also it works as a transfer point to a few other lines. Ill admit i got a bit turned around the first morning i used it but luckily it was so early i didnt get stuck in the rush hour madness
