English & 中文。There are 3 main types of cafes in Japan. Type 1. the sit and study coffee«hippy hangout style café»(my favorite), 2. a «diner-esque style café» which is just a diner with café written at the top…。Or 3. the upscale trendy fashionable«restaurant style café» which you are there to meet with friends, go on dates, do meetings but aren’t going to feel comfortable studying. This is a type 1 style café and my favorite one in the cozy Nakanosakaue area aka: home. Sometimes you go into a place with the word«café» stamped on the top of it and when you walk in, you’re in Mel’s diner hearing your grandma talk about why you couldn’t be a doctor like your brother and a two year old screaming in the background. Other times you’re in a café where you see hipsters contemplating their theory on mainstream relativity and young soccer moms writing their first novel they’ve been working on for the last ten years while sipping a chai latte. The later is what I call a true café thanks to Starbucks and the gang. The other is just a restaurant that’s trying to hard. St. Marc’s café is one of those places where you you go in and people are reading, studying, on their iPhones, playing angry birds, all while sipping a latte ^_^ the true café experience. Classical music in the background or a piano rendition of Nikki Manaj’s who wants to be a hoochie mamma(okay kidding about that last one) it’s a peaceful atmosphere where before you know it you’ve already finished reading the entire Harry Potter series or are peacefully asleep drooling on the book cover. Pure bliss! The one setback is no wifi. Maybe depending on where you sit you can steal some wifi from the 7⁄11 next door :-P Try their different デニブラン dishes. Like waffley things with ice cream on top. It’s like hooking an IV tube of sugar to your arm. I love the red bean one. Come to St. Marc’s where they do café, I dare say, a little better than Starbucks. And since St. Marc’s is a little less mainstream than Starbucks, hipsters everywhere would agree :-D 其实St。
