I love the openness of this temple. The ground are quite large, including multiple smaller shrines and even a garden pond. It is worth checking out if you are in the area.

For the past two years, I have been coming to this Shrine not because it’s amazing but because of its yearly Nihonshu Festival (日本酒祭り).
The festival is usually around the first weekend of October and the whole place is full of Nihonshu lovers.
Brewery from different part of Kansai gather here to introduce their new Nihonshu.
The best part is of course the free tasting (though I don’t drink).
So this coming October, bring a mat and food and head out to this Shrine if you are a Nihonshu lover or just curious.
