Definitely worth a visit if you want to take a breather from your travels/busy life! This cat café seems more like a place to chill, with the plus of cats roaming freely(or napping). There’s bookcases full of manga, sofas, coffee tables, cat toys, and you can also purchase drinks. I even saw someone napping with a blanket there. They also have charging stations for your laptop/phone! Most of the cats seemed to get along, with the exception of a rivalry between two cats. I really like that this cat café offers the option to stay there for as short as 10 minutes to as long as hours(versus paying for a minimum of an hour). However, time passes pretty quickly just hanging out there!

発見: 「299=ニクキュウ」!!! If you visit Ikebukuro, a busy town with loads of Japanesque stores(like animé and maid cafés), you should definitely go to a cat café! «Resting place with cats 299» is your typical cat café, but what differentiates it from the rest is that it has a large space with bookshelf-pillars filled with 2000 manga. Approximately 20 cats roam around and/or lounge on sofas, shelves, baskets, under chairs, on top of the coffee machine… THEY’REEVERYWHERE. 200 yen for 10 minutes on weekends, 100 yen for 10 min on weekdays. Its an understandable price, considering the fee to take care of these cats is pretty high. Most people stay for an hour or two. I’m actually allergic to cats, but I didn’t get any allergic reactions. They probably groom and tend the cats very well! My only concern was the number of people crowding the room. They should lessen the max. number of people in the café or youll end up like me, stepping over people and shoving others out of the way just to see the kitties. Make sure you make a reservation!
