Everybody loves pizza: especially when it’s good. Mikey’s brings New York pizzas to KL, offering massive slices(and even larger pies) for your dining pleasure. You’ll look at this and think surely you can have a whole pizza, but the truth is: you probably can’t. Have a slice, it’ll be a much better option. But don’t forget to also have the disco fries or Philly cheese steak while you’re at it… Mikey’s is a very welcome addition to the KL pizza scene.

Great pie for Asia. In fact it’s great pie for anywhere. I had a slice of cheese and thoroughly enjoyed it. The tomato sauce was great and the cheese was of a good level of quality(though there was a bit too much). The crust was also great. This slice reminded me of some of the heftier slices in NY. It’s definitely not a $ 1 slice, it’s more on par with something like an L&B square slice in Brooklyn. When you account for the nearly 10,000 mile difference in location this pie truly is fantastic in that it can hold a light up to the greats like L&B. Mikey’s is true New York quality pizza, and at a hefty, Times Square, Patzeria Perfect Pizza type price. Next time I find myself in Bangsar I’ll definitely hit it up for another slice and you should too!

Environment of the place is nice. The pizza is superb. You can order a slice of pizza and upgrade it with a soft drink and waffle fries

The pizza here is pretty damn good, my favourite is the 4 cheese one, super super yum! The service is always good and it’s a clean place. Why not 5 stars? It’s lacking something, maybe I’ve just had better NY style pizza elsewhere. Still, if you’re in the mood for a good slice, this is the place to go.

Mikey’s New York Pizza is like the in thing now at Bangsar. Its a pizza shop that serves up huge and i mean huge slices of pizza. I cant remember now which pizza it was that i tried but i had it taken away and just one slice was more than enough to fill me up. Service here is pretty good, didn’t have to wait long at all. As usual the only pain about buying anything from bangsar is the parking, if you’re alone and plan to stop just to buy pizza then there’s no where for you to wait without blocking the road. I like Mikeys’ because i feel its relatively different from like other pizza places like Domino’s or Yellow Cab pizza. Mikeys has a pretty thick crust though which is not what i expected when i read New York pizza, cause usually its a very thin and soft crust.

Mikey’s pizza is good but overrated. I have to say though the interior is very pretty as it makes you feel like you are in new york! Although the pizza is good it does not meet the expectations from the hype. I especially like the 911 pizza as it is very spicy which is my thing and love the boneless chicken wings! It can get crowded so you should plan ahead when you should go.

When you come here and getting your pizza, you do will feel like you are not getting the Malaysia portion because their portion are 5 times bigger than other pizza place here(like dominos, pizza hut or saprinos). The last time my manager ordered the whole pan of pizza from here, I was so full just eating their one slice. I could usually take 3 – 4 slices of normal pizza, but here my maximum definitely will just be 1 and a half. Their pizza is really good as well. I tried their classic new york pizza, and buffalo chicken pizza and it is very delicious especially with their chilli flakes and oregano. Loving it! Their restaurant is really nicely decorated as well, with a lot of poster, photos that will add on some American feeling in it, probably that is why their pricing will make you feel like you are paying in USD too, lol. Their one slice of pizza cost around RM9 onwards. It could be up until RM15, and yes, it is quite pricey for one pizza, but I guarantee you that 1 pizza is as big as 2 – 3 normal pizza so I know you feel like ordering a lot of flavours, but try one first and see if you are still not full then order some more.

I still remember the hype created prior to the actual opening of Mickeys! The inquisitive’s were trying to figure out what exactly would be offered, it was crazy! Well I finally managed to see whats it all about. The first thing that caught my eye the minute I walked in was the memorabilia’s surrounding the restaurant which was mainly to give you that great ‘City of dreams’ feel alongside the classic american tunes. Simple amazing! The aroma of the herbs & cheese being baked was the next thing that immediately got my attention. Bring on the menu I say! The pizza’s here is served in slices or the whole pizza itself. I’m a super huge fan of cheese so ‘Pizza Bianco’ was simply the best! This 4 cheese goodness is worth every pound. Now bring on the 9−1−1, known to be the spiciest pizza in asia, this hot mama throws you a challenge. If you able to finish the whole pizza, you get your picture on Mickeys hall of fame! No I didnt even think of it! For those who are not into pizza’s then give their sides a try, my sister tried the buffalo chicken wings which were simply finger licking good!

After all the sudden buzz about this new shop, my sisters and I decided to check out for ourselves what was all that hype about. We went there during tea time as we did not have a very heavy lunch. As we walked in, I noticed that the interior was very simple yet elegant. The walls were filled with picture frames and it the pplace in general gave a good vibe :) We then proceeded to order our pizza and we were greeted by a group of friendly staff who explained more about the different types of pizzas. We ordered, 1 slice of classic new york pizza, 1 slice of sweet hawaiian pizza, and being a spicy-o-holic that I am, i decided to try their 9−1−1 pizza which is the spiciest pizza in Asia(wrong move: O). Also, if you could finish the whole pizza, your picture would go up on their hall of fame). That’s me being overly ambitious there :/The re-heated our pizza and brought it to us within a few minutes. The classic new york pizza was very bland as it was just the crust and cheese. The sweet hawaiian pizza tasted interesting because I’ve never tasted a sweet pizza before. It was not too sweet either. I really liked the sweet hawaiian pizza the most. Lastly, my own pizza, THE9−1−1, was filled with so many«chili padi» ! :O. The moment it arrived, i knew I was going to have a hard time and boy oh boy, I did! the first few bites were okay but as i got to the 4th bite, the spiciness started kicking in and *cue Alicia keys [ MYMOUTHWASONFIREEEEEEEEE ]. I had to drink 3 glasses of coke to get the spiciness to subside ! I couldn’t finish my slice of pizza but oh well, at least i tried :’( I had an interesting time at Mikeys and I would go back again to try their other pizzas just for fun but it wasn’t the best pizza I’ve tasted though.

Mickey’s pizza is located at bangsar and it was the most delicious pizza I have tried. The pizza is so huge that one piece is enough for me. I have tried on their new york pizza and I think that is really nice. The pizza is so crunchy and full of cheese on it ! A slice of pizza cost me about RM8. They will sell whole pizza too. The whole pizza is about 18 inch, is super huge ! They also have this pizza challenge where they give u a spicy 18 inch pizza if you can finish it you will get a RM500. There are some of them that successfully finish the whole pizza and won the prize.

Mickey’s Original New York Pizza is one of the many restaurants located in Telawi, Bangsar. They sell HUGE18″ pizzas but don’t be worried, they also sell by the slices. The concept is interesting but I find it a bit expensive as each slice ranged from around RM9 to RM16. Therefore, if you are looking for something a bit more filling, Mickey’s pizzas might be a bit costly as even though the slices were quite large, and I was not even half full after eating two of them.

I really like the New York pizza concept because we don’t have any other pizza parlours in town with pizza slices as big as your face! Also, it’s cool to be eating the kind of large, floppy pizza I’ve seen so many actors eat in movies and TV shows. But unfortunately, not everything is good. It depends on what you order. I like the classic slice with mozzarella cheese but the Tony Soprano isn’t as good. The four-cheese is nice too — it has cheddar, ricotta, mozzarella and goat cheese. I guess I just like cheese. People seem to like the waffle fries too but it’s a bit too indulgent for me. It’s basically fries topped in really heavy sauces and cheeses, and it’s like a meal on its own. Prices are very steep. It can go up to something like RM80+ for a whole pizza but to be fair, they are much larger than the kind of pizza we’re used to. But despite liking the cheesy ones, I don’t think it warrants that kind of prices. I suppose we are also paying for a slice of Bangsar rent!

Your one stop place to go when it comes to eating pizza instead of eating the overrated pizza you see everyday. Bread and crust — One Word — Amazing. Toppings — the combination burst into flavors — 4 cheese flavors of pizza, goat cheese with roasted garlic, the meat with mozarella blends so well that my eyes are even balling. It is how good it is! The tenderness and not to mention, BONELESSCHICKENWINGS? WHAT?! I have finally tried NEWYORK food or at least something from real Americans. The taste and combination is so much different than the ones you always have and after having this, you will never want to order other pizza again. I am dead serious.

We haven’t been to New York, so we are not sure how original are the pizzas here. Having said that, this pizza eatery is friendly and no-nonsense. You can order pizza by slice or by a whole in a humongous pie of 18″! The pizza is literally bigger than our faces. The classic new york pizza is a good starter and the 911 pizza is for those who likes spicy. We love the waffle fries too. Also, they serve some craft brews here by bottles. Pizza and beers? Perfect match.

After hearing so much good reviews about this place, i thought id give it a go. I definitely made the right decision! I went a friend who is already a regular and claimed that he needs to be rewarded for always eating there!(free pizzas he says) We ordered two slices each and boy was i full after that! We both had the pepperoni, a slice of Hawaiian chicken and a slice of the bbq chicken and it was so good. The slices were huge i was having problems finishing my second one(only because i had a late lunch otherwise 2 slices would be just right) The prices are pretty decent its between RM10.88– RM14.88 per slice(huge slices) so i think thats a great deal! So if you are up for pizza, you should definitely give it a try!

I heard of a lot of hype about Mikey’s New York Pizza when they first opened its outlet in Bangsar Baru. Curious to know, I decided to give it a try. To begin, I was really annoyed at the long queue that we had to endure and it wasn’t even a peak hour. Overall, I would think that their pizzas will likely to satisfy your cravings as they are considerably larger that an average pizza. I came to know that they are cooked in extremely hot ovens until the crust is crispy. For first-timer like me… chupppsss…for a big eater like me, I had 8 types of pizza that night, along with my fiancé. Each of them has its own unique topping and some of the ones that we tried were The Classic New York Pizza, Meatball Pizza, Sweet Hawaiian Pizza, The Tony Sopranno and others that I could not remember. We also tried their boneless Buffalo wings. We were happy with the food as it felt so satisfying. One of the creators of Mikey’s New York Pizza in KL, Andrew Bellucci is also a chef at the restaurant. For more details about them, check here:

Mikey’s is the birth-child of a New Yorker Michael Helfman and Andrew Belluci — the man who is famous and passionate about pizza making. Ever since their opening day, crowds have been pouring non-stop. The décor is very American — black and white flooring, photos and images about New York, and an open Kitchen where can enjoy all the pizza making action going on. The orders and payment were to be made at the counter, and they will serve you the food. Unlike an Italian pizza, a New York pizza has a slightly thicker crust. The pizzas were perfect and you could easily fold them and eat it. Oh yes, forget to mention that the pizza slices were much bigger than your average ones from Domino’s or Pizza Hut. You can choose to order the pizza in slices(pricing from RM8.88 onwards), or the whole 18″(RM69.88). You can choose to upgrade your meal with a drink and/or waffle fries. Apart from pizzas, they have some amazing«hot heroes» too — Chicken Parmigiana, Philly Steak, Boneless Buffalo Wings and many more. I’ve tried their Philly Steak but was a bit disappointed. The steak was tough and expected to have more cheese on top of it. Overall, it’s still a decent place to grab some nice pizzas.

Mickey’s original New York Pizza is one of the best pizzas around Bangsar! I wasn’t too sure about it when my friend first invited me to go there, because I had heard it was a bit expensive and not worth it. It was a really nice surprise to go and realize that, not only the pizza was awesome and for a good value, but the place actually looks really nice. They offer seating options inside and out, and it is decorated with a NYC theme which makes it really cool. Y ou can order slices for a quick bite or pies to share between friends. My favorite one is the Mac and Cheese pizza, which I’ve just tried, but they also have a great meat ball pizza and an awesome philly steak sandwich. If you live in the bangsar area, you can order it for delivery. Service is good, friendly and helpful, but there is a drawback: you have to go to the counter to place your order, which I particularly don’t like. But it is a small price to pay for great food and good value!

A was walking along in Bangsar one day on the way to an ATM machine when I spotted this shop. As soon as I walked by it I could already smell the aroma of freshly baked bread, olive oil and cheese… mmmm. A friend and I were thinking of new places to go when we decided to give Mikey’s a try. We weren’t disappointed. The place was cute, set up like a proper New York pizza place with vintage photos on the walls alongside memorabilia of famous actors and actresses. The staff which consists of Middle Eastern men(at least I think that’s what they look like) was very friendly and attentive. We looked at out choices of pizzas in the display unit and proceeded with our orders. We were handed street signs to signify our orders that they will then deliver accordingly. I had the Pizza Bianco, which was absolutely marvelous because it’s a 4-cheese pizza and I am a little mouse when it comes to cheese and an iced lemon tea. I had expected a bigger size as the ones I usually see in New York but needless to say, I was satisfied! I wanted to order another slice but I was thinking to myself that I wouldn’t spend rm20 for two slices of pizza even though it was a big portion as compared to the other pizza places around town. They should work on that I think. Other than that, everything was A-OK!

New York, New York was being chanted from the streets of Bangsar with the opening of Mikey’s in the affluent streets of Jalan Telawi 2, opposite Antipodean. With such popularity spreading through word of mouth brace yourselves for a long queue, particularly during peak hours. Stepping inside, surrounded by the subtle New York vibe of brick walls covered in quintessentially New Yorkian pictures, one could only feel the growing anticipation of living out a typical American movie scene, of dining in an authentic Italian American pizzeria. A slight Brooklyn accent even popped out as I ordered. Priced between RM9 to RM15 a slice, one may question why not simply order in from a Domino’s nearby, however, keep in mind these are 18″ pies, while Dominos’ Xtra Large is 15″. I never really bother with sides at pizza joints, I always found them ridiculously overpriced. It was no different here, as delectable as the waffle fries looked as they tempted me with their golden brown allure I couldn’t find it in my heart, well more of my wallet actually to part with a minimum of RM11 for deep fried potatoes. My pizza verdict, while it offers something different, it failed to blow my mind. Plus being someone who needs a minimum of 4 slices to fill myself up, blowing around RM50 a meal just isn’t up my alley.
