The restaurant was located at one end of a row of shophouses. It was located just a shop opposite the shopping mall. The restaurant was quite well known for its Chinese style vegetarian food and was one of the best vegetarian restaurant in the Malaysia’s Time Out. While the restaurant looked simple in its store front, inside it was decorated in traditional Chinese style with dark wooden furniture and various Chinese status such as the Eighteen Arhats and Sanxing(三星 «Three Stars»), who are Fu 福, Lu 禄, and Shou 寿. Looking at the menu, most of dishes looked to be heavily flavoured which are not to my taste. Besides the usual stir fried dishes, the restaurant also offered dim sum dishes which was quite rare for a vegetarian restaurant. The restaurant used mock prawns and fish in its dishes which were not quite my type. Fruit Tea(RM18) Passion fruit, lemon, orange, green apple, tea A fruity drink. Although served hot, it was quite refreshing to have on a hot day. The tea was refilled often. Yam Fried Dumpling 蜂窝荢角(RM8.80) The mashed yam was smooth and well balanced with the heavily flavoured filling. Steamed Custard Whole Wheat Bun 全麥奶皇包(RM6.80) I was so looking forward to it when I saw it on the menu. Sadly there isn’t any lava flow in it. The filling was quite dry although the skin of the pau was soft and fluffy. Steamed Prawn Chee Cheong Fun 素蝦腸粉(RM6.80) The chee cheong fun was stuffed with mock prawns. Quite smooth chee cheong fun. Special Fried Mee(Homemade) 招牌細面(RM16.90) Looked like stir fried yee mee to me. Although tasted not bad, I think it would be better have the noodle been stewed longer to soften more. It also tasted a bit too salty to me. Cantonese Style Meehoon & Kuay Teow 廣府米河粉(RM14.90) Compared to the above noodle dish, this one tasted better. Vege Oil Chicken 士油鸡(RM24.90 small) It was way too salty on its own, best with rice. I gave up after a bite. Overall service was not bad and food was served quite fast. Our tea cups were refilled often. However it was a bit stressful eating with quite a number of staffs looking at us. But there was only a couple of other tables occupied at that time.

Lately I haven’t been tolerating meat much or the thought of eating meat has given me some issues so I love discovering new veggie places. The interior isn’t anything great and the location doesn’t look like much. They have quite a few options but most of they which I don’t understand besides the fact that you get rice, spring rolls and soup. I did try the Vegetable Fried Rice and was contemplating on the Fresh Mushroom Chow Fun but perhaps next time. The cost is pretty moderate so it is a nice place if you want to try some local veggie food.

I have to admit, when the restaurant is specialised in vegetarian food, it really doesnt excite me. I love my steak. Nevertheless, I am tolerant to my friends choices and we take turns into deciding where we are gonna go for dinner. My vegetarian friend was psyched to try this restaurant so I just followed her. I am happy that I gave in and agreed to try this out, because their food was actually delicious. It’s so refreshing not to have oily && deep fried food for once. They had so many different choices of vegetarian dim sums that were just awesome! For me any green leaf is a vegetable, but my friend is a pro and she knew them all so I allowed her to order. Everything was super yummy, definitely try it out !:)

I rarely have Dim Sum here in Malaysia as being a vegetarian, the meat heavy choices just leaves me with just sipping my tea throughout the meal or maybe just foo chok, but how many plates of that can one manage? Nature’s is one of the few restaurants that serve vegetarian dim sum so I had to try it! Their recommendations are like the steamed vegetarian BBQ buns, steamed siu mai, deep fried dumplings. and I also had the fa ko, a light fluffy cake that is not filling at all! The dim sum dishe are just so so as I am not particular towards fake meat. Along with the dim sum, we also had noodles which we were told are quite popular there. They have a fried mee that is cooked with black soy sauce and has the aroma of wok fried fare, very fragrant and the noodles are just cooked al dente, not mushy or wet at all. The sambal petai fried rice was quite interesting but just decent with a good amount of ingredients added in. The service was quite good as we had our food fairly quickly and our cups were regularly filled. They also serve a mélange of vegetarian dishes like beancurd, vegetables, soy meat cooked in various styles and even braised dishes so you can always visit for a healthier family meal

This is my first time coming across a high-end vegetarian shop in Malaysia. I normally find the Indian ones or the Chinese mix rice in the Chinese restaurants but this restaurant is like those high class chinese restaurants, with the circular tables that can fit about 10 people… yup! this space is in Bangsar and what freaks me out most is that they serve Shark’s fin soup… made out of soy. I am absolutely curious to try it out although I disagree 100% on the idea of eating Shark’s fin soup. I’ve tried it once and I admit it tastes amazing but to kill a beautiful wild life just for your own satisfaction in the belly is just wrong. Not to mention they are almost extinct if CHINA keeps killing them! Besides that, the concept of this store is a great idea because it sells on the fact that it’s a full on Chinese restaurant(I love chinese food so much!) but everything is vegetarian which makes it super duper Halal and more attractive. Smart way of doing business because then it just opens up the market to a wider audience!

I tend to frequent many vegetarian restaurant since my husbands a pure vegetarian & one of the better & slightly more expensive ones would be natures vegetarian in bangsar. This restaurant operates 3 other outlets in different areas with slight variations in the menu. The nature’s in bangsar is the only one thats open for breakfast. They have a dim sum menu which I found pretty intriguing & also your classic malaysian breakfast such as the curry laksa, wan tan noodles & kuey teow soup. We went over for breakfast & tried the curry laksa & their special fried noodles which was very similar to the wan ton mee dry noodles. The curry laksa was abit blend, so we ended up adding lots of sambal to give it an extra kick. The portions were huge even though we ask for a small plate so sadly there was some wastage. The special noodles was something I liked. It came with alot of mustard leaves & mushrooms mixed with a few different sauces. As for dim sum we had their spinach steamed dumplings & fried yam cake. I would rate their breakfast as mediocre only however I would give them 2 thumbs up for the rest of the menu which works for lunch & dinner. Be sure to try their vege mutton curry with the steamed bread, sweet & sour chicken and also their special homemade taufu!

You can definitely tell that this is a chinese restaurant the moment you step in, with the hanging red lanterns and red framed decorations on the wall with big chinese writing, It is a cramped space with round tables nestled side by side with each other. The furniture are all a dark wood, further adding to the«Chinese» feels. With so many good Chinese restaurants around in KL, it is really hard to compete. However, the menu isn’t too bad with a lot of smaller dishes like steamed dumplings, roasted pork BBQ buns, and deep fried spring rolls. Nothing really stood out for me here, maybe except the steamed dumplings, as I felt that the other dishes were too oily and I had to use a few pieces of serviettes to absorb the excess oil before eating them. The staff were a little rude and standoffish. When we asked for a table swap, they didn’t say anything and then reluctantly moved our drinks to the new table — so customer service was pretty bad. Im not sure how the food here compares to other Vegetarian restaurants, as I am not vegetarian, but I won’t be coming back any time soon and much rather eat at dim sum restaurants where there is a much larger variety with better service and more people around to create a livelier environment(I mean, after all, thats what Chinese restaurants should be about, the NOISE, to show that people are enjoying their time there).

I found this restaurant the other day on Jalan Telawi, and I was surprised by the name, because it refers to Natural Vegetarian food. Even if I’m not a fan of vegetarian food I decided to go inside and check the place. This was not a place I had seen myself walking into, let alone dining in. Because I arrived to late in the restaurant and they didn’t served the signature dish Dim Sum, I went for the noodles which I found out later that they are famous among the veggie community. They are homemade and they have a uniquely springy texture that’s hard to copy. The Fried Mee Noodles were excellent, tsudded with cabbage, foo chuk and choy sum, adding texture to taste, but I had to serve them with soy sauce, for more sauce. The interior design of the place is full of Chinese folklore characters which are quite interesting. I don’t know if I will go again here, because as I mentioned, I’m not a fan of vegetarian food, but I will definitely recommend the place for the vegetarian ones.
