I have always passed by this place as it used to be a baking store selling supplies and ingredients to the avid baker. They also hold classes on cake decorating or cake making from what I see when I glanced inside. But lately, when I walked by, I was surprised that now they have turned their business into a little café instead! The menu looked interesting so why not give it a try! They have pies, western choices like spaghetti, lasagna and salads as well as a specialty menu with dishes like portugese braised chicken and chicken pongteh — nyonya dish of chicken and potatoes cooked with salty bean paste. As a baking shop, you must try the pies as the crust is made in house with good technique that renders it crispy and not soggy with the filling. We had the beef cottage pie that is cooked in a smoky BBQ sauce and topped with mashed potatoes that is very creamy, a side salad balances out the calories=) Another friend also had the Tres Amigos from the Western Menu, which is actually 3 chicken meatballs served on a hot dog bun with a tomato based sauce doused over and served with salad. It’s a messy affair so do eat with a utensils or else you might drip all over your clothes. The café also serves desserts — how can they not? I would recommend the apple crumble cupcakes, not too sweet and it’s small enough to just give you a sweet jolt, For drinks, I highly vouch for the roselle drink, it was my favorite and quite unique, very refreshing end to the meal!

Awesomely Wholesome, the vision that Artisan Bistro holds dear as their tagline has opened up for customers to experience the healthful meals provided by their lovely chefs since 24th March. Located inside of Kelana Mall, beside of Oriental Garden and opposite of , the founders claim that they serve healthy yet tasteful meals at an affordable price for being homemade and msg-free ranging from the price of RM3 to RM30. A place to chill with a few friends for a quiet meal, Artisan Bistro’s meal never ceases to disappoint from their drinks to their meaty food down to their desserts. With each meal ordered, each person is entitled to have a complimentary cream of vegetable soup that consist of potato, broccoli, cauliflower, leak and pumpkin. Ranging from meals from the West and East, they offer meals that would cater to anyone’s taste buds. However, their main signature dish would be surprising for some as they have decided to think outside the box with their Jack series where they infuse waffles with savory ingredients you might not think would work on a waffle. With much praises and comments from their Jack series, they don’t plan on stopping just there as they come up with new ideas to improve and satisfy our taste buds with their crispy savory waffles. From their Toro Jack to the Aloha Jack, each Jacks holds up on their own with their unique flavour and are simply scrumptious to eat for anyone of all ages to try. Their selection of desserts doesn’t disappoint either. Easy to enjoy, their most used ingredient is none other than chocolate for their cakes. But not just any basic chocolate as all their chocolate desserts uses coverture chocolate, rich in flavor with a percentage of 32−39% extra cocoa butter, makes their dessert more sinfully rich compared to the use of cocoa powder. Moist, fluffy and divine after each bite, you will definitely come back for their desserts.
