This cake shop still has the old cake shop charm of the 80s feel. Not your regular modern looking cake shop. Unfortunately the staff there seem lacking in service. After standing in front of the counter for several minutes, had to call for attention even when there were only two other customers who was at other locations.
Apple pies slices were large and price seems reasonable.

I am a durian lover, so when my friend introduced me to Australian Confectionery — famous for its durian puffs — I was really excited to try them out!
We had durian puffs and durian cake. The durian puffs, priced at about Rm2.50 each, is filled with cold yummy durian filling in a puff. I really, really like it.
While the durian cake is covered with icing and peanut crumbs. Inside are layers of cold durian filling sandwiched between layers of butter cake. What I like about it is the chilled filling.
Durian by nature is heavy, but once chilled and eaten together with the puff and cake… Mmm mmmm… Heaven.

Australian Confectionery has been around for more than 40 years, and you can find the bakery directly opposite the Shell petrol station at Seapark. Unlike the bakeries you’ll see nowadays, Australian Confectionery still retain the very old-​school concept. You can see this from their interior to the cakes in the display.
Australian Confectionery is famous for the Durian Puff which they use actual durian meat to make the fillings. Instead of the puffs, I took the doughnut. The bread was soft and the sugar coating was satisfying!
If you like cakes covered with fresh cream, the you’ll find the cakes in Australian Confectionery very tempting. Personally, I’d prefer my cakes to have less to no fresh cream. Apart from their ready-​made cakes, you can special order your cake too. Just show them a picture of the cake that you wanted, and they might just make your dream come true.
