The hawker center here is pretty well known. There are plenty hawker stalls from chinese to malay hawker stalls. They also have tons of stalls selling drinks. It’s decently priced for a meal, you can get a below 10rm meal here, no problem. My personal favorite is the curry noodles. The curry noodles are pretty good for 6rm. It might be too much for a small hawker place but for it’s taste, it’s pretty worth it. Parking can be a little bit of a pain when there are a lot of people. The food wait is not too bad, about 10 to 15 minutes and you’ll definitely have your ordered dish by then.

Stalls after stalls after stalls. I’ve been here a few times and tried a number of their stalls and I can’t say that there’s one that is ultimately good enough for me to want to get back there. But this place is surely a good place for big crowds and you need variety of halal food from Malay, Indian, Chinese, Western and many more. Food prices here are all reasonable hence there’s always a crowd almost every night. The fried kuih tiao and western dishes are good in my opinion but I would stay away from the seafood bit. There are better places if you really want those. SS2 Wai Sek Kai for example. After dinner, you can always walk across the street for different varieties of dessert. Bubble milk tea to cup cakes to ice creams.

We were driving aimlessly one night and decided to have something to eat. We couldn’t decide untill a friend thought of the hawkers in DU. This place is one of the best place to have supper. They have all kinds of food here, from local to western. One of my favorites here are the Oyster Omelette and Yong Tau Foo. I mean, surely it wasn’t the best Oyster Omelette I’ve had, but it sure does the job when all the other shops are closed at night. The Yong Tau Foo here is pretty famous, from what I heard at least, yes it’s halal. There’s also a Popiah stall here which I tried once, but didn’t really like the taste. The stuffing was too imbalance and the portion wasn’t even big to begin with. Oh yes, I almot forgot too, there’s a row of local stalls that whip up the best Fried Rice. It doesn’t matter which stall you get it from, it all tastes good, I’ve tried them all. Prices here are quite cheap as compared to the restaurants around the area. Really good place for some budget eats.

This hawker center is one of the main landmarks in uptown and also one of the most popular places to eat at night. It opens until quite late at night so those looking for a late night snack or supper can come here to appease their inner hunger. There are a host of different food stalls here. Char kuey teow, fried rice, sotong, chee cheong fun and a gazillion more! One of the more famous shops here is the chee cheong fun shop. There’s always a queue there. The selection of side food being served there is quite impressive. One thing I don’t like about this place is that when it rains, the place becomes rather wet and dirty. Price wise, the food here is a bit expensive for a hawker center. Nonetheless, the food tastes yummy and this is one of my favorite places to eat in Uptown.
