Tokyo Avenue

Tokyo Avenue is the closest thing to Daiso than Daiso itself. The only fact that differentiates it from Daiso is probably that it doesn’t price all items at RM5. Stocking all things Japanese and ranging from food to household items, you’ll spend ages just going through everything. From what I can see, the shop is divided into 3 sections; food, household products and all things animé.
My favourite is the food obviously. Sometimes I drop by to puchase a random snack to try. And drinks too! They do promotions occasionally so it does you goo to good once in awhile to see whats on offer.
Im absolutely in love with the cute animal pots they have on sale. If I had a empty house, it would be the first thing I buy. Pricewise, it is reasonable but definitely can’t compete with Daiso.

Tokyo Avenue has a very similar concept as Daiso. In fact, some of their products are exactly like the ones at Daiso but probably slightly more expensive. Tokyo Avenue is located at level P1 at The School in Jaya One, next to the Pos Malaysia.
The shop is spacious and they offer almost everything from food to household products, DIY and gifts, animé and soft toys and many more. Each aisle is clearly label so it’s very easy to find what you want. You can also check out the promotion rack at the entrance. From time to time, they have items on a «Buy 1 Free 1».
If you think Daiso is too inconvenient, then you can drop by Tokyo Avenue to check out the products. They have very similar products as Daiso, and with the recent price increase at Daiso, Tokyo Avenue is a very good alternative.

Tokyo Avenue is a store located at The School, Jaya One, that sells Japanese products. Well, I would say the concept is similar to Daiso. It sells items in RM5 each, still there are exception. Some are more expensive.
It is spacious and quiet. I normally come here to seek for accessories or empty container because here is convenient to me since I work here. However, the choices are lesser compared to Daiso. I also found that many items that Tokyo Avenue sells are themed with Hello Kitty or Eiffel Tower. Not sure this is because of the trend or just a coincidence. So, for Kitty fans, do check out Tokyo Avenue if you are around Jaya One.
Another special corner that Tokyo Avenue has will be the animé corner. Animé corner, no doubt, items here are all relevant to animé. You can find pillos, bolster with animé printed on it. I guess this will definitely attract animé fans to drop by Tokyo Avenue. Not only that, you can also find other accessories and decorations here. All in all, Tokyo Avenue is a Japanese concept store. I will not say it is same with Daiso, but it just similar to. Sometimes, they will have cheap sales corner which is just beside the cashier counter (Items are all below RM5!)
