Karen’s Place

OK, there’s the possibility that there is also a Karen’s Place in Bahía de Banderas. This review is for Karen’s Place in Bucerias.
Stopped by for lunch yesterday and sat down below in the bar area by the beach. Great little spot with a nice breeze.
Great club sandwich, wife’s burger was so-​so, but as I told her, why are you even ordering a burger? This is Mexico for cryin’ out loud.
Attentive service and very reasonable prices for lunch. Be forewarned however, lunch time is cash only. Also, they will accept US dollars, but at a lower rate than you would expect. They did tell us this before accepting our dollars though (thumbs up!), so we used pesos instead.
The only downside? Margaritas were no better than in a bad Mexican restaurant at home. Inexpensive, yes, but nothing to write home about.

Karen’s is my favorite restaurant in Bucerias. Great food. Great service. Great location. Do not miss it!

we tried this place a few times during our trip, and we had mixed reviews.
for dinner it was just alright, i give it 3 stars. the meal took FOREVER, and seemed overpriced. they only offer 3 beers, but unfortunately they were out of 1 of them. seemed odd. the bread they served before dinner seemed a bit stale. i had the tortilla soup which was quite good, and the coconut shrimp which i didn’t think was all that great. my hubby had the fish tacos which he really liked.
but for breakfast we really liked this place, i give it 5 stars! we came a few times and loved it. quicker service, very reasonable prices, and delicious food every time. loved the view of the paddle boarders while we ate. we will be back for more delicious breakfasts in the future :)

One of the best meals on our vacation. Karen greeted us and could not have been any nicer. We had the fish special mexican trio and seafood dishes. All were amazing.
