From the waiter Gerardo to My Mexican coffee and cannoli an extraordinary culinary experience. This was the second time I dined here. I dislike sharing how incredibly wonderful it was in fear that the next time I might not get a reservation. The eggplant appetizer was definitely an must. We had two different salads the misto and Mediterranean and couldn’t decide which was more scrumptious. My husband had the grilled octopus and I had the grouper special. Both dishes tastes were extraordinary. The wait staff was super attentive and caring. It is a must go with a dynamite ambiance.

Okay, I must say this is THE best Italian I’ve had in years! My husband and I loved it so much, we visited twice in three days. This is now my favorite restaurant in Cabo! I promise, it will not disappoint! Go!

This place is so cute, and the hostess was amazing! We had to wait 30 minutes because we didn’t have a reservation, so she guided us to this martini bar a few doors down for drinks. The food was so scrumptious. Definitely try the eggplant, and salmon bruschetta. The wine was fantastic too. I ordered the seafood pasta and it was amazing. I can’t wait to go back for that bread basket.

So many good places to eat in cabo but this place was our best meal, and we ate at alot of places. I had the beef medallions. Service was also great. Its definitely definitely definitely worth going for dinner. You will not be disappointed.

Delicious. I was skeptical about how good am Italian restaurant in Cabo could be, but it was wonderful. The grouper carpaccio was refreshing. The mushroom bruschetta was flavorful. The waiter recommended the lasagna over the frutti di mar and it was yummy! My Husband’s Imperiale linguine was one of the best dishes he’s had in a really long time. The service was extremely attentive. Would definitely recommend and return.

OLIVEGARDENLIKE! Not worth it. The food is ok, nothing out of this world, as from the reviews I expected the best pasta, but the owner is really nice and the food is really cheap. But nah, don’t bother!

Lovely little Italian restaurant with great wine selection and a knowledgable staff, it may not be the most authentic Italian around but it definitely hits the spot when craving something different then Mexican, pasta is cooked right and all the sauces have great flavor, definitely worth a stop in.

INCREDIBLE! We started with the Bruschetta Invita, loaded with mushrooms… YUM! For dinner, I had Fettuccine al Ragú. Absolutely delicious. Great service, quaint little place and the owner was very nice. We would definitely go back and highly recommend it. Priced fairly.

Great place! Had a nice birthday dinner here, lovely food, excelent service. Got my mañanitas in 4 languages! Just a tad pricey for the locals but the deliciousness made it worth it. You have to try their«limoncello» drink before you leave. Definately going back.

We were so looking forward to having dinner here again and we’re just as pleased as last year. We were greeted by the very lovely Evelyn and attended to by ever ebullient Geraldo and David. The food was wonderful and the best part is, if you ask for an item not on the menu, they will endeavor to find a way to please the diner. Well done

We found out about Invita Bistro through TripAdvisor, it was ranked the #1 restaurant in downtown Cabo when we were visiting. We couldn’t get a same-day reservation within the 2 – 3 hour window we had wanted to go. But we walked to the restaurant anyways and they were thankfully able to accommodate us, and we didn’t even have to wait for a table. The food was excellent, my favorite dish was the«linguine doncarleon»(Lobster, zucchini with tomato and cream sauce). The sauce was amazing. The orange sangria was also very good. And although we didn’t have any wine, they seemed to have a great selection. The dessert selection was small, we had chosen the crème brûlée — it was decent, but not up there with the best I’ve ever had. It was our first time in Cabo, so we’re not sure if the norm for waiter service is typically slow, but it was pretty slow here. Even after we ordered dessert and they collected our plate, it took forever for us to get the attention of our waiter to bring the check. And when we finally did ask for it, we had to wait at least 20 more minutes for him to actually bring it to us(there were empty tables and we saw him frequently talking to co-workers behind the bar). The owner/manager did come around and ask us how everything was, he was very friendly and welcoming. Overall, this ended up being one of my top 2 favorite restaurants in the area and would definitely recommend eating here.

A nice spot in the middle of town. The hostess was friendly and sat us outside while we waited for a table to free up. We has the beef carpaccio for the appetizer which was better than expected. We followed that up with a Mediterranean salad which was decent, but nothing to write home about. For the Mains we had the lasagna and the spaghetti pesto. Pasta is where this spot shines. The pasta is fresh and made in house. Overall the meal and service were very good, and our meal was finished off with a complimentary shot of lemoncello. I would gladly return again when I have craving for Italian. Seating is limited so reservations are recommended.

Family-style Italian. Complimentary sun dried tomato/goat cheese/green olive/balsamic vinegar appetizer is YUMMY! Eggplant Parmesan is great. The Brochetta de Cameron was phenomenal!(I ordered carbonara but I like Alcaravea’s better.) Generously filled glasses of Chianti. Hidalgo Street across from Amelia Wilkes Square. Open 5 – 11. Closed Sunday

As a party of 8, we were looking for a decent and well priced restaurant in town in Cabo San Lucas. I have been going to Cabo for about 15 years and many a restaurant has failed me with their extremely high prices and mediocre food. Invita Bistro was recommended to us by someone who actually spends much of their time working in Cabo. We actually ended up dining here twice and here is a summary of our two evenings spent at Invita Bistro. After reading all the 5 star reviews I had very high expectations when arriving. The first night we were greeted warmly by the head waiter. He proceeded to tell us about the specials of the night and then brought us amazing homemade focaccia bread and an olive tapenade. Both were excellent. 7 of the 8 diners ordered a pasta dish, many of them with fresh seafood. Hubby ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and was treated to an amazing plate of pasta and about a pound of meatballs, that were both tasty and succulent. The pasta was lightly sauced. Another ordered the lasagna and said it was the best she had ever had before. Another ordered the eggplant parmigiana and she also said it was fantastic. The diners with the seafood pasta dishes raved how excellent as well. Then came my Saltimbocca. I should have known better because who makes Saltimbocca with a piece of steak? The steak was pounded flat and very bland. Covered with a layer of cheese so thin I couldn’t even taste it. And the ham that was supposed to be on top — well they forgot that. So this was the worst meal on the table of 8. However, the excellent service made up for 1 miss out of 8 meals. Second night we decided to dine here because our first experience warranted another try. This time not so good. The waiter could have cared less about our table, especially after we had to send back a bottle of Greg Norman Pinot Noir that was corked. From there it was downhill. 3 of us ordered the special pasta meals with fresh fish. All of those 3 meals had overcooked prawns, fish fillet and undercooked scallops. When I complained the waiters attitude was«eh, so what.» If you catch this restaurant on a great night with the right chef and the right wait staff — you are in for a delightful meal.

October 2015: Ate 2 meals 3 days apart with a group of 8 people. 1st meal got high scores from 7 out of the 8 diners. My spaghetti and meatballs was pretty sublime. Only clunker meal in the group was the saltimbocca. Without flavor and the toughness of the beef made the dish almost inedible. 2nd meal. Barely 2 stars for food quality on just about everyone’s plate. Obviously the«B» team was on duty. Manager on duty was less than courteous when our sincere & objective critiques were voiced. Real mistakes with the food. We got raw scallops on the plate next to overcooked, dried out fish fillet and shrimp. We got pasta primavera with rock hard undercooked vegetables. We even got a $ 42 bottle of wine that was corked(spoiled). When I tasted the rancid wine and told the manager, his remark to me was, «Are you a professional because you drink so much alcohol?» Accompanied with a sneer… I did not pay for that wine and ordered a different bottle that was fine. Coming to eat here is a calculated gamble. Maybe you’ll win or maybe you’ll lose. Your sunk cost for a dinner visit will average $ 25 for the food per person and $ 10 per alcoholic beverage. No return here ever for me.

Ugh, got the octopus, with potatoes and asparagus, actually looked good coming out of the kitchen, but after biting into it, I was faced with one of the most rubbery octopuses I had ever chewn, and I live in the Midwest, I’ve had some chewy ones. So, told the waiter, he grabbed me a tuna steak instead, equally disappointing. Wife got the chicken parm, soggy, said she felt like she was going to vom after eating it. Food was not good, at all. The only saving grace was the really nice service and complimentary tiramisu. Poor guys who work there though, this place had such a great reputation on Tripadvisor and Unilocal, that’s why we tried it, but with food like this, they are going downhill in a hurry.

Quaint little place. Got a little tired of Mexican food so wanted a change of pace. There was some sort of Fiesta in the park across the street with music and dancing. Even though it says Mediterranean the food is Italian. Minestrone soup was hearty. More vegetable than minestrone. They gave us a little taste of tomato and cheese, nice. Daughter ordered a virgin daquiri but it had alcohol. Luckily she is 18 so could handle it just got a bit red in the face. I suppose she is going to drink sooner or later if she hasn’t already. Ugh… kids. Frutti de mare is good. Bread is tasty with dried tomato and olive toppings on the side. Wife and daughter split the special which had sea bass, two large shrimp and some big scallops. Very hearty portions.

We went here on our last night in Cabo. After a long day of snorkeling and inadvertently booking a booze cruise, this was very welcome. The lighting, ceiling and rest of the décor was decidedly upscale in this small restaurant. The general manager ensured we were getting drinks and good service. We were very well taken care of. The food was also very good. If you like mushrooms, there is a specific fettuccini dish you’ll love. The lasagna was excellent too.

This restaurant has great potential. The location is on a newly renovated street and across from a beautiful park. The décor is gorgeous. The staff is very nice and the menu has plenty of choices. The food was good, not fabulous, but good and fairly priced. The temperature in the restaurant is terrible. The front door stays open when guests arrive and it defeats the air conditioning. The staff, while very nice, need to be more attentive to the table. We constantly had to ask for more water, and when the room temperature was warm, we really went through water. Perhaps if they left a large pitcher or carafe of water on each table this would be alleviated. Bread basket was quickly emptied and never refilled. Make a reservation, you will need one. The restaurant quickly filled up. There are a few small tables outside which overlook the park as long as there is not a taxi van blocking your view.
