The food here was very good and the price was excellence! A family of 6 for dinner was under $ 55USD. The pastor tacos and the gringa were delicious. The waiter was super cool and honest. Great place to eat we went 3 times!

Food is flavorful and delicious with a wide variety of choices! Unilocal hours say closes at 10:30pm but came on a Sunday night and was open at 1:30am. Staff is very friendly and prices are cheap!

Great service from Jesus! Great food and some of the best margaritas we tasted(they use fresh fruit). We visited twice and all the staff is really friendly and the service is quick. We tried about 5 different food items and none of them were a let down. Reservations not necessary.

Wow this place was great. I tried a couple of the recommended places and tourist places down the street for tacos and was VERY disappointed. I have had tacos both street and restaurant, all over Sonora and was sad with everything I had until I got to Guacamayas(right next to Taco Gus). I heard Taco Gus was good too but didn’t want to try anymore places after Guacamayas. I had the Al Pastor and arranchera Tacos and a tall Mexican coke. SOOO good at last. I wish I could have eaten there all week, but I didn’t find the place until I was half way through the trip. Other items to note– the place is very pretty, they make churros onsite, there is often live music which is really pleasant. There is a wooden burro in the back that you can take pictures with and they have serrapas and a sombrero to dress up :).

Awesome food. I had the enchiladas. It came with 4. I asked for 2 chicken 2 steak. They were delicious. My husband got the bowl with chicken and steak. It was a hot bowl with cheese, avacado, and cactus as well. Great service. Live music

My husband and I tried this place after being incredibly disappointed with the«mexican» food being offered on the Marina(with the exception of Los Deseos, that place is also legit). This place was sooo good. I live right outside of Los Angeles so I know good Mexican food and this place has it! They make AUTHENTIC Mexican food. The kind that the locals eat. The Chile Relleno was one of the best i’ve ever had. The service was excellent. I highly recommend going here even if you aren’t staying nearby. This restaurant offers photo souvenirs of you eating there for a reasonable price. We like our pic so we bought one. My only regret is discovering this gold mine half way into our trip. Come and try this place, it is definitely worth having!

Pineapple margarita is amazing. The acidity is so well balance it borders on gourmet. And that’s from someone who doesn’t like blended margaritas. The flank steak molcajete is the best meat I’ve eaten in Mexico. Only negative was we had to order tortillas separately. One of the better dining experiences in downtown Cabo San Lucas.

Nothing bad to say here. We came here after stumbling out of Cabo Wabo. Lol. Greeted right at the door step and promptly seated. Our server was incredibly friendly, personable, knowledgable, and professional. He gave us a few recommendations… and we were glad we took his advice. The food came out fast and was delicious. Josue made guacamole was delicious. So yeah, next time we are in town, we will definitely come by this spot. Can’t beat good food, good service, and a lovely environment.

Came for some tasty tacos but ended up having a couple of vampiros instead! Family tried some of their main plates which they all enjoyed. The menu is pretty extensive but I’d say I still enjoy El Paisa Taqueria more even though they have fewer options. I just prefer the overall flavor, taste of the food and the feeling that I’m only dining with locals. However, I enjoyed the spread of sauces/salsas with the complimentary tortilla chips and more importantly, the live music provided during dinner! That was a great add to the dinner and nice way to start off our vacation in Cabo. Service was good and friendly. Due to location, tourists come but known for the tacos by several locals. Prices are pretty good and they have nice variety. Would definitely come again when we’re back in town.

I tried the al pastor, carne asada and chuleta tacos. All come with a help yourself condiment tray. The al pastor was«ok» but the carne asada left a little something to be desired. The chuleta, while well seasoned and not overcooked, had a couple of bones in it which I almost cracked a crown on. A lot of flies during our short session here which could have been mitigated by a few fans. Service was very prompt. Lots of gringos. Overall, the place is OK, but I wouldn’t immediately go back on my next trip down there.

Went here five days in a row during our weeklong vacation in Cabo. Never disappoints and always a welcoming staff. Attempt at writing this review is giving me withdrawals… it hasn’t even been 24hrs. Will attempt this when I have a better state of mind.

Hole in the wall restaurant but, don’t worry, they have a huge sign out front to make sure you’ll notice them! To be honest, it had been hard to come across good service here in Cabo, but this restaurant had the fastest service out of any other restaurant we had been to. We were seated in a location with optimum fan blowing(no AC unfortunately, like most low key restaurants in Cabo) and were given menus and chips and salsa immediately. In other places it took up to half an hour to just get the chips… And it really didn’t help when we came already hot and hungry. The horchatas were HUGE and at such a good price too(~2.50). The waiter was such a nice, sweet man!!! I loved talking to him he was so friendly and helpful. Upon my coworkers recommendations, I ordered the queso fundido and the pig skin gordira. This was definitely more than enough. The cheese was so filling and I couldn’t even finish half after finishing half the gordita. With these three items, my total came up to $ 12!!! Cheapest meal in Cabo for sure. My friend ordered this beef sizzling plate with cactus and he said it was delicious. The corn tortillas come FRESHLY made and are very hot when you first get them. Thanks for treating us with some authentic, well priced Mexican food!

This place was amazing! My brother, his girlfriend, and myself went here after scuba diving for a long time. The food was INCREDIBLE. We are from LA, and it is by far the BEST Mexican food we have ever had! The combo bowl(chicken, beef, and Mexican sausage) was amazing! It was enough to feed 3 people! It was spiced to perfection and everything was just amazing! We got a few tacos and those were perfectly done as well. You can tell the tortillas and tortilla chips are made right before they get to your table, and they are made to perfection! For 3 tacos, 2 water bottles, and the combo bowl, it was $ 22. Amazing food, amazing service, I would DEFINATELY come back

I give the food a 5. The service, a 2… My dad, his gf, and my hubs wandered over here off the main drag, fleeing the loud music(and ridic prices) of Cabo Wabo for something a bit more on our level. Enter Las Guacamayas. After looking over the menu, we decided everything looked(and smelled) good and the prices were on point. We were seated quick enough and placed our drink orders. The drinks took awhile to come… this was 9 ish on a Sunday night, so there were people but it was in no way crowded. Our server seemed to be slightly out of it. He was looking at my dad while hubs was ordering his tacos, not even realizing my dad wasn’t ordering. I ordered the rib steak stone bowl, my dad one of those huge potatoes, hubs a selection of tacos, and the gf a meat dish with cheese on it, can’t recall the name. Food came out disjointed. My dad and his gf got theirs pretty quick. It took over 30 mins for my stone bowl, and hub’s tacos came out at a weird pace, a couple pretty quick, a couple after my stone bowl. Considering they’re just cooking up meat and putting it on a tortilla, I can’t imagine why these took so long. However, timing aside, every thing was so so good, from the salsa to my dad’s potato, all of the tacos, especially the pastor. The stone bowl was fun, and tasty, I’ve definitely had better though, although for the price it’s hard to beat. Let’s not forget the really weird lady who came and sang(terribly). Hubs had to tell her no firmly more than once to get her to stop from hovering around our table… I love a good mariachi band but this as just all kinds of awkward. When it was time to get the check, our server acknowledged the boys«check please» hand signals. However, after that, I watched him take several more orders and deliver food and drinks before he even got started on our tab. We even watched him glance over at our table several times, probably trying to remember what we ordered. It turns out they just mark off items from a little photocopy of their menu, so how the hell did it take so long?! Anyway, it took 2 hours for one round of drinks and our food. While the food was delish, the service was horrendous. With all the other places around, I can’t say we’ll ever make a stop here again, and we’re in town nearly every year!

So many 5-star reviews, just like Tacos Gardenias, where I was just left a little bit disappointed. Las Guacamayas was just mediocre for me. Service — I got some weird vibes from the waiters here. They didn’t really speak much english at all and weren’t really helpful with food choices. They actually gave us a funky look when we said we weren’t interested in ordering any alcoholic drinks. Okay… Cost — more expensive than Tacos Guss(love) down the street, but cheaper than Tacos Gardenias(for tacos, at least). Our total cost was actually less than I was imagining — under $ 30USD for both of us. Menu — they serve all sorts of stuff, from your basic tacos to more complex entrees. However, it doesn’t really help when choosing your food, and neither do the waiters. Taste — I had a taco, a volcanes, and a side of nopales(cactus). The taco was edible and came with garnishes, but was nowhere near the taste of Taco Guss. It was just okay. Maybe on par with Tacos Gardenias. The volcanes was way too hard and it felt like my teeth were going to break. For 30 pesos, not worth it. The cactus was good and you get lots of it, but it’s just covered in what I couldn’t decide was soy sauce or Maggi seasoning. The bf didn’t really like his flank steak all that much either. Overall, I just got weird vibes from this place and was starting to wonder if this is a tourist trap location. I’d go to Taco Guss down the street.
