Relatively new bar in town so it’s extremely clean and well appointed. It’s a place to grab a drink and watch the game or match on TV while enjoying the free WiFi(very strong signal). The bathrooms are always kept clean and the service is good. It’s not a place where I’d eat a meal, not because there’s something wrong, just that the culinary options in Ensenada are pretty incredible.

Being in Ensenada for a cruise port, I had little expectations. We came here based on recs from our friend Amy P. and they didn’t open until past noon so we actually walked around for 45 mins waiting for them to open. It was during the walking around that we got to play and hold a baby lion at one of the shops. We hope that the whole story about the baby lion from a reserve and they are helping to raise money is a real story. That baby lion is too cute! The owner was a sweet lady and brought us very cheesy and authentic nachos with 2 beers for their $ 8 special. The bar itself is clean and new, just opened 6 months ago. Free Wifi was a plus and the service was wonderful. Thanks Amy P!!! We didn’t get to meet the bartender you raved about but still had a great time!

During our cruise to Ensenada my husband and I walked into Phosphorus with the intention of getting just 1 drink, in order to use their free WiFi before boarding the home-bound ship. I was thrilled that the signal was strong and we had no connection problems. We sat down at the bar and in moments had two ice cold Tecate Light bottles and one cute bartender directly in front of us. The bar is pretty large but it was mostly empty on this Sunday afternoon. Daniel was bartending and he totally engaged us in conversation. We ended up staying there much longer than we’d planned; he kept us laughing and really enjoying our afternoon.($ 180 — pesos) Great music played on the speakers, the women’s restroom was clean, and the bar is really open so the sun shone down near our seats — it was the highlight of our vacation to Mexico. I started planning our next 3-day cruise before we even made it home, and on our itinerary is another stop at Phosphorus! But only if we get the same awesome bartender!
