ATA Sushi is the greatest surprise of our recent vacation to Zihuatanejo. We had hoped to visit the Zihua location but it was closed. So, we went to the original in Ixtapa. Best Decision Ever. The sashimi was incredible. We were hoping to have Dorado sashimi (a first for us) and we did. And it was beyond our wildest expectations. We also Tako sashimi. Fantastic. I forgot the name of the role we had, but it was fantastic. I know this won’t help much, but the role was excellent.
This is a very small restaurant. It reminded me of the old Rock and Roll Sushi in Redondo Beach, CA. But, the wait staff was warm, professional and helpful. Sitting outside in the courtyard to eat dinner was a nice change of pace. Pretty romantic.
Lastly, ATA Sushi is WAY under-​priced. Or, better said, ATA Sushi is GREAT value for $$$. And, the quality and presentation meets or beats Nobu.
Visit ATA Sushi. You deserve a little taste of heaven on Earth.
