The best carrot cake in Mexico!!! Wish they sell them in Playa Del Carmen! Bagels are delicious, loved the salmon one. Smoothies are good. Wish they expand the menu so we can have a breakfast there.

This place is amazing. The bakery items are fresh and delicious; the coffee is great; for kids there are all kinds of smoothies! Just off the main beach road. It is truly the best bakery/breakfast spot in Mahahual.

Karlita’s is a wonderful ocean-side gem. The coffee and food is delicious. Seating both outdoor(ocean-side in the front and courtyard-side in the back) and a few small tables inside is a wonderful place to enjoy a break and a snack. Karlita, herself, is a great wealth of information. She led us to Fernando’s mini super and the seafood co-op for fresh, local lobster along with a corner store for other goods. She was so very friendly. We rented a house about 30 minutes out on the coast, but this was my favorite place to stop.

What a cool little coffee shop on the beaches of Cost Maya! I was pleasantly surprised to find this spot with delicious roasts and a few good pastries as well. I got a nutella pie which was phenomenal!!! Seems to be owned by an American based on the décor, English writing, and way the place was run(no once chased my down the street bragging about their amazing deals). Thoroughly enjoyed.

Very cool little spot. Little tight inside, but outdoor seating is more of my preference anyways. If you come you must try pay nutella(nutella pie). So good! Oh and you get WiFi access with your purchase! Score!

Café K@rlita’s is a super chill little café in the super sleepy little town of Majahual. They have great coffee and espresso beverages, as well as an assortment of fresh pastries. The bagel with cream cheese and lox held its own with the best of them. Karlita even threw in some capers! And the chocolate cookie was quite tasty as well. With the convenience of free wifi, and the beautiful view of the Carribbean just meters away, we’re sure to be back every morning.
