Everything was going good pretty room, modern and nice pools. My sister lives in Mexicali and the hotel is next to all the drinking/eating areas, so we decided to make it the meeting/getting ready point. The security guards had us check all day but nobody mention or call our attention, we kept coming in and out and still nobody said anything about having extra people in the room. At this point if they ask us we would tell the security guards that we were getting ready to go out and didn’t know if they will spend the night with us, we were aware we would have to pay $ 20 per person. So we went out had fun and when we came back to the hotel around 3:00 am My husband and I went to the room and my sisters and 1 friend were after us oh surprise! The room phone was ringing! It was my sister to let me know that they were kicking them out! At 3:00 am in the morning! What?. They weren’t letting them go inside even to let me know or pick up their stuff! They were acting like if my sisters were criminals! So we decided to go to the lobby and pay per person so they could stay and don’t drive that late back home, the answer of the rude guy was«only 3 people per room» what? Are you kidding me? It doesn’t make sense, we had a room with 2 queen bed and a sofa bed! And at this point we were ok to pay for the extra people! Well they didn’t even let them go get their personal stuff! The security guy kept standing in front of my sisters ready to push them if he had to! He followed them to their car to make sure they were leaving! really? I have to add that when we where at the pool, we saw a manager went inside our room! where is our privacy? so anybody can go inside your room? even if we had our no disturb sign? Won’t be staying at this hotel again we will go to lucerna were we’ve never had a problem like these before! Also they were doing construction all morning! They were so loud on Saturday morning at 9:00 am! At least let your guest know so they are ready and let them know that because of the construction the tv rooms will be failing. To complete the bad experience they have the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept on, it was so hard and uncomfortable, even the pillows were hard. Thanks for a really bad and uncomfortable experience.

Stayed at this hotel over the weekend for a family party. My whole family is from Mexicali and we visit at least twice a year. First and last time staying at this hotel. Security guards kept harassing us to make sure we only had 4 people in our room. ALLWEWEREDOINGWASGETTINGREADYTOGOOUTWITHOURFAMILY. Literally stood outside my car door counting us, followed us up to our room and stood a foot away from our room door. One of us had to shut the door on his face. Tried to charge my little brother a 20 dollar deposit for every extra shower towel we needed.(We were only given two for four people.) I paid over 100 dollars for the night and we ended up leaving at 1am because of how ridiculous they were being. This was on friday 06⁄12. Two front desk ladies were rude to my mom when she came to complain, late night front desk lady was nice. We understood we could not have visitors stay the night. We weren’t even partying/drinking in the room. We were getting everybody together to head out for the night. Never staying here again. FYI they didnt offer any sort of refund.

Nice hotel from the entrance. «Araiza Mexicali». From other hotels I seen and this being my first visit here in Mexico. This is a great hotel to stay at. It is a modern hotel and more modern than many I seen. They have 2 very nice restaurants. Once which is open at 6am for breakfast The breakfast is a winner. Buffet style of different dishes. But I enjoy the omelet station that I get what I want freshly made. Dinners are nicely priced and very tasty in both restaurants A very nice gym that is set up for a good number of people. Pool area is a winner. Pool water temp so nice and relaxing. Though here on business and since had no time to do much. This hotel gave me enough to do to whine down. The people are so nice and very friendly. The décor is kinda outdated but it’s cleanness makes up for the fashion deprive building. I will be back in Mexicali several more times in 2015 and this is my hotel of choice. Thanks for a great week

Weird that on Unilocal this place has like 2 stars when its top hotel in Mexicali on all the other sites right? Anyway that’s why I decided to review this place. Valentines special: $ 150 for a suite, chocolates, champagne, 2 breakfast buffet passes and later check out. There are 2 pools-one heated, gym, game room with pool tables a lobby bar with live entertainment and two great restaurants attached to it. It was great here.

my expectations for this hotel weren’t very high, however I was immediately changed when I saw how nice the lobby is. I was excited to see my room. I can say my room was okay, the lighting in there was really dim and it was an average hotel, It had two beds and a tiny balcony to the parking lot. The bathroom was small and can use an update. Alright, so they have a breakfast buffet every morning and it was great. They were lots of options and even fresh smoothies. checking out was a nightmare, it took an hour and a half to figure it all out, so annoying! the girl handled it okay, she seemed like she had no power to do anything on her own and she kept calling other people. If I went back, I think I would try another place.

Glorified motel. Loud. All rooms face the parking area that seems to have traffic all night. Small pool. Spend a few bucks more and stay at Lucerna.
