Very nice place to go to. Friendly people and good food, many locals go there. A lot of people use it for a meeting place — great specials too.

This was our first time there. I ordered the Fish and Chips because another poster had said it was good and it was. The fish was very flaky and fried to perfection. The only negative was that they didn’t sell Sol cerveza. I had a Modelo Especial and it was good but not as good as the Sol

This was our first visit. The outside seating for the restaurant was packed, which is always a good sign. The waiter had our menus in his hand but walked away without giving them to us so we had to ask for menus… twice. I had the grande shrimp cocktail which was disappointing. The shrimp were very small and still had the black veins across the back which is a turn-off for me. The sauce was thin ketchup. I added the onions & cilantro served on the side but it was still ketchup.

This great little bar is located just off the Malecon in Progreso and is a favorite spot for Ex-Pats. It has out door seating and good food and ambience, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. They are known for their Fish and Chips. We tried their chicken wings which were ok, and their chicken burger which was excellent. They often have live music and on days when the cruise ships come in it is a very festive place indeed.
