Lots of rave reviews of this place, so I was expecting something better than«ordinary, bland» food, sleepy service and warm beer! I had Shrimp Tacos which I could have made better, even without the great, fresh local ingredients available in Mexico. Bland and almost tasteless. My beer was brought to the table warm. I had to send it back and ask specifically for a COLD beer. Huh? Are we in England, where beer is served warmer than in Norte America? The place was almost empty, so there was no excuse for the slow service. I think the owners must be on auto-pilot, coasting on all their great reviews. I certainly won’t recommend or go back.

Good tacos. Nice staff. Wish they had a website; Maybe .org. If you’re looking for an authentic taco stand in the area(complete with adorable begging drifter cats) this place is for you.

Mediocre tacos, pretty decent bbq chicken not on menu, took a really long time and I sat in there waiting for takeout order when I could have left and come back, but they were not that straightforward about the time.

While vacationing in Puerto Morelos my friends and I wanted to check out a local place to eat. We ask someone who was working at one of the shops if he knew of a good place to eat tacos. This nice man took us here, to . When he first told us where he was taking us I thought he was joking but it really did exist lol. I was happy to find that they had a Unilocal page. It was 5 of us and spent $ 80USD which I found was a bit high. Although it was 5 people I feel like for how inexpensive this food can be, it should have been around $ 40-$ 50. Besides the price being a bit high, the food was really good. We have horchata and beef tacos with just cilantro and onions — must try if you want local food.

Small Space, Large Taste! We arrived to our rental last week and this was our first dining out for the trip. We ordered the ceviche for an appetizer and it was excellent. The tacos were delicious and served hot. All the food was prepared right in front of our table. Service was good and the size of the restaurant should not turn you away. Cash only.

A-OK. After reading the raving reviews as I was planning a trip to Puerto Morelos, I figured this would be my home away from home spot and that I would be eating every meal here. The moment my husband and I got off the plane, dropped off our bags, we searched for . Once we found it we were so happy. It’s a short walk past the main square on perhaps the second most popular street, Javier Rojo Gómez. We weren’t exactly greeted in a friendly manner, more like«eat, don’t eat, what do you want to do?» greeting. Huh? Remembering the reviews, clearly this was not what I was expecting. Needless to say, we stayed. Ate. Left. Uneventful and our high expectations were let down. Fine experience, but not 5 stars in my book… even for a small taco shop. However, the food was good and made fresh to order. Go try the tacos, but don’t go for a warm welcome.

Excellent service. Great food. Great margaritas. Good vegetarian options. When we showed up with a group of six, they were full but offered to seat us two storefronts down at the owners’ wife’s restaurant where we could order from either(somewhat repetatve) menu. The other place was unlicensed. We eventually moved back to and had a great dinner. Highly recommended.

I dream of tacos, often. Being in a country that has them around almost every corner, is like being in the epicenter of a fantasy taco Galaxy. When I knew I was making a second trip to the quaint little beach town of Puerto Morelos, I knew there was no way we were going to miss a meal at . Being a patron of this place twice, I can tell you this place is a solid pick. Great service along with a funky tropical half indoor, half outdoor dining area. The walls are adorned with flare, eclectic collectables(mainly cerveza y tequila themed) along with a straw grass roof. Most importantly the food is fantastic and consistently good, no matter what time of year! What kind of taco you want? Mushrooms? Octopus? Shrimp? Crab? Fish? Beef? Pork? Chicken? Lobster? Cheese? Squid? Con Ajo? Con queso? Con salsa? Con cebolla?(Garlic? cheese? Pico de gallo? Onions? They’ve got at least two pages of taco concoctions. Take your pick. Mix it up. Their suggestion is three or four. I opted for two. Two is filling and you can still move and go do activities instead of taking a siesta afterwards. They make them FRESH for you on the spot. There’s a grill in the front and a grill in the back. Deliciousness! Also, their Horchata esta muy increíble! Tastes like everything is made from scratch. It’s refreshing and cooling. This drink is the best pick if you’re tacos are on the hot side because it cools you down. is where it’s at! Not a huge place, but the food is crazy good. Would I return? Yes, of course! Enjoy!

One of the best meals ive ever had in my life. Small place looks like it was a garage converted into a kitchen with tables and a grill. He cooks everything made to order so you have to wait a fee minutes if you go with a lot of people. But its worth it. Relax and have a beer. Ive been here four times. once with 11 people… so we had a great time… Gave us shots of tequila on the house too. Every taco is good… The zirahuen is my favorite… that town is packed with little places to eat, choose this place first and you will likely be disappointed by all the rest and you will end up coming back here for all your meals on vacation. He cooks breakfast there as well.

Stumbled into this place while walking through the town and was very happy that I did. It’s a small, very friendly, family-owned taco shop that has so many options! We had a delicious buttery-shrimp taco that melted in my mouth and a squid taco that was also very tasty. Quick note — the habanero salsa he had on the table was EXTREMELY spicy, so unless you have a high threshold for spiciness(I don’t) stick with the regular salsa, you’ll thank me later. If you’re in Porto Morelos, this is a must-try, you won’t regret it!
