Mariachi & Tequila is the best restaurant in town! Waiters are very friendly! Nicely decorated and maintained. They make incredible homemade guacamole!!! Best I’ve ever had for sure! Their homemade salsa is to die for too! You can’t go wrong with ordering anything on the menu! Definitely a great stop for some AC and a drink while shopping along the strip of shops(Rodeo Drive).

Very nice ambiance! The guacamole and salsa are delicious. Chile rellenos is delish too! Highly recommend! I had the seafood volcano which was very copious and good. It was a bit rich, but good!

Mariachis and Tequila is one of the best restaurants in Penasco! So many delicious dishes to choose … You need to try them all! My favorite is the Seafood Volcano … Or maybe it’s the shrimp & mango salad… This place has a real fun vibe, the wait staff does a great job especially when we come in with our usual party of 8 – 12 peeps! Good, honest margaritas. Cadillacs @ 100 pesos! They are open for lunch and dinner during peak season! Always happy when we leave Mariachis & Tequila!

I have been visiting Puerto Peñasco for over 20 years(I live on the border), and this restaurant has the most impressive food I have tasted in this town(I think they have a great abuela home cook in the kitchen)! The décor and service are fantastic too. I had the shrimp fajitas and they were great(everything was«muy rico»), looking forward to trying mole enchiladas next time. The salsa was delicious but lacking chiles; after we asked for more«heat,» the staff brought out a fresh batch with wild Sonora chiltepins! This should become a regular option for the gringos(because I have found that most Peñasco restaurants underestimate the chile-loving palates of foreigners)…

What a find. Was looking for a cool drink but after perusing the menu decided we had to taste some of their offerings. So glad we did. This is a real gem! Fantastic foods far from the usual found in town. The environment was clean, modern and very relaxing and the kitchen was spotless. Everything about this place was so much better than all of the other restaurants this town had to offer.

So good we went back twice! Amazing pina coladas and margaritas — the best I’ve ever had! The food was fresh and delicious: I’d recommend the seafood volcano, nachos or the tortilla soup. Service was very good and the restaurant itself was clean and nicely decorated. I would definitely recommend this place.

Stopped in here late morning(around 11 am-ish) craving a beer. Place is super clean and nice inside and the wait staff was excellent. Had the shrimp tacos and they were fantastic. Beer was nice and cold and the chips and salsa was excellent, too. Thanks David y Ramon! Will definitely be back.

Good food, good drinks, very nice place and far above most restaurants save maybe one in Puerto Penasco.

This relatively new restaurant(open only a few months ago) was our last stop on our last-minute girls’ weekend. I enjoyed the pretty interior with all the wood and brightly colored flowers. Mariachis is located in Puerto Peñasco’s «Rodeo Drive» and is obviously geared toward(American) tourists, with its bilingual menus and staff. Service was prompt and friendly and our fish taco plates(about $ 8 for 3 tacos, rice and beans) were tasty and substantial. The free chips and salsa were good, although I would have liked a bit more spice to the salsa. Prices are in both pesos and dollars. I’m not a connoisseur of Mexican food, but this was more than satisfactory and probably would not offend most people!

Our first time there. We saw it while shopping at the Cholla Mall. Very close to Sandy Beach with tons of close — in parking. Four of us had dinner, 3 had the Sonora combo plate and one had shrimp and fish basket. Three big, good, margaritas and two beers. Four dinners, three margaritas, two beers for under fifty bucks. Service was great, all spoke english. Nice, new building, nicely decorated. This will be a go to place from now on.
