Wonderful experience from start to finish. The tableside salsa was awesome and a nice touch as well! We had been looking to have some authentic Mexican food and we found it here. The staff is wonderful and helpful as well. Try this place you won’t be disappointed!

Food was great. Service was awesome. Order the guacamole, salsa and chips! They make it from scratch in front of you. I had a Cadillac Margarita and it was perfection. The guitar players sang us expensive songs(100 pesos per song) …yikes. But I didn’t care. Was having too much fun chowing down on great food. I’m a vegetarian so it’s important to find good options and this was one of them! No lard in my food. My friends had a meat platter especial(see combo section of menu). Soup was great too! Ambience is cute Spanish style. Good for romance

The food was outstanding. First time in Puerta Vallarta and this was one of the best places to dine at. I highly recommend eating here.

Cute restaurant on the corner with some delicious eats and great service. Table side salsa made in front of you was good. The cilantro cheese appetizer was amazing, the soup was comforting like mom’s cooking. The fajitas and the molcajete with the beer sauce were very tasty.

Solid 5. Tuna steak was awesome, and this is from a guy who doesn’t like cooked tuna. The carnitas were also excellent. The food presentation was really classy and the margaritas were very strong. The restaurant is just off the malicon but is easy to find. The staff was also very friendly. I’d definitely recommend this place to my friends.

Taxi brought us here after our first 2 choices were closed on Sundays. He knew we were looking for a good mole place and suggested this as we drove by the cathedral. Very friendly and attentive staff that greets you at the door. Salsa made tableside in a mocajete — very tasty! We tried chicken enchiladas with the mole sauce and with the red sauce. Both dishes were«muy rico»!!! The charro beans were a nice touch that came with both meals. On Fridays and Sundays a band made up of 6 extremely talented young people(all related according to the wait staff) comes and plays/sings an assortment of traditional songs including requests like La Bamba. The youngest one played a mean trumpet and had a great singing voice too. Very impressive! Prices are set for the tourists‘ wallet but they are moderate when you consider the atmosphere, tableside preparations, taste of the food and the musical entertainment. I’ll remember this place when we return to PV!

Had read up a bit on this place and thought it sounded interesting — you can’t beat the location directly across the street from Our Lady of Guadalupe. Made reservations and off we went. Staff at the front door was incredibly welcoming and polite but I was with a friend who is not a fan of mariachis(especially indoors) and they were blaring away full blast so we decided to drift on down to Vitea and come back a different night. Second attempt and the mariachis were back but we were told they’d only be there for five more minutes so we stayed and they seated us as far away from the music as possible. Then they were over — not. Someone hired them to continue for the rest of the night. The place was full of Mexican families who were obviously loving the music(not sure how this place gets considered as a tourist destination because there were scant gringos when we were there). So, they moved us again and it was tolerable on the opposite end of the quite large(and very lovely) space. Service as has been mentioned was very, very slow but the staff was professional. Enjoyed the table side guac and salsa. I’m picky and I thought the margaritas were great but I always order top shelf so they can’t fudge it with cheap tequila and bar mix. Food is pretty much the typical Mexican roster. We sampled a number of dishes and all were executed at a level superior to many local places. I had the chile rellenos which were excellent and as I recall he had the chicken enchiladas. Both very happy with the food but thought it was a little pricy(not Si! Señor pricy but a little above average). It is a really lovely space with friendly staff and good to excellent food — I’d go again.

We just finished eating and wanted to share what a wonderful restaurant this is. We were greeted by the usual kindness of people in Puerto Vallarta. The atmosphere was charming, warm, inviting and not particularly noisy. We were not there the evening of the Mariachi band. We were a party of six and we all tried different dishes. Every one was excellent. Their table side preparation of fresh salsa was fun to watch. Several of our group said it was the best salsa they had ever had. They can make it mild, medium or hot. We ordered mild and it still had a nice kick to it. I highly recommend Casa Traditional for a true taste of Mexican Cuisine. You won’t regret it !!

Nice little place off the beaten path. I had cochinitas and my husband had chicken enchiladas. I loved my cochinitas husband said his enchiladas were ok. They made quacamole and salsa table side which was good.

Fairly new in town replacing an Italian restaurant in the heart of Puerto Vallarta! It’s an amazing find while walking to the church. We love the ambience and the staff is just friendly and excellent! I had the Arrachera and one of the best grilled skirt steak I’ve had. It’s a steak but i still tasted a local flavor in it. The freshly made salsa is made with grilled tomatoes and peppers. Awesome! The best so far! We will definitely come back also for a deelish margarita.

We were wandering around downtown Puerto Vallarta, wondering where we should eat, when this place caught our eye. The menu looked intriguing, and when we heard they had only been open for four days, we thought why not give it a try? So glad we did! We weren’t super hungry, so only ordered an appy and soup, but we ended up with more than enough anyway! It started with the complimentary, fire roasted and made right at the table, fresh salsa and chips. Then, another complimentary taste of a traditional lentil soup, packed with lentils and flavour. For appies we had the ceviche and the stuffed mushrooms. I’m sorry, I can’t recall the exact description(too much wine maybe?) but they were both delicious. The seafood soup was fantastico! Generous amounts of plump, perfectly cooked shrimp, delectable octopus and chunks of fish. We were too full for dessert, but again, we were treated to a complimentary taste of flan, which was, you guessed it, delicious. So, okay, all the freebies probably won’t last. Just their way of trying to get people to try the food and get the word out. It works for me. It was all delicious and we would definitely go back, with a bigger appetite next time. Prices are not cheap, but good value. Service was lovely. There is lots of competition, and I wish them success!
