Great, attentive service(even the GM came by toward the end to inquire about our experience!) great good,(complimentary guacamolé made fresh at our table! flaming fajitas.) great, fun atmosphere. Mariachi band(played everything from Johnny Cash to Van Morrison & the whole restaurant sang along). Kid friendly. Reasonable prices. And margaritas(any flavor you desire) are big enough to swim in!

One of our favorite places in Puerto Vallarta. Amazing atmosphere, great service and even better food(and Cadillac margaritas) — with very reasonable prices. Everything on the menu is delicious so you can’t go wrong. The waiters are super fun and the owner does a great job ensuring everyone is happy and satisfied with their meal/service. A great place if someone is celebrating a birthday(tequila for the table). The line was out the door on a Tuesday night(which is a testament to their quality and service).

«Smack your momma good.» … the flavor! The flavor. I have dreamt of Mexican food this good. Can someone ship me a shrimp burrito? A shipped shrimp? And they make the guacamole right in front of you, it’s very simple. Cilantro, onions, squeeze of lemon and avocado. Yet when they hand it to you, they’ve cast their Harry Potter spell on it and used their Jedi force powers to create the tastiest guacamole you’ve ever guacamole’ed.

The guacamole is amazing, the music festive, but the chicken tasted like fish. Enough said.

I came here with my 8 year old son after being recommended this place by a local and then I read a review by Richard W: He seems to be even younger and came here with his mummy and daddy; and he has now been entrusted with a pen and an intent to prove his teacher(who never gives him more than 2 out of 20 for his essays) wrong. No, Richard, you don’t go to a Mexican restaurant and complain about there being a Mariachi band! You wait until you have grown up a bit and realise that people EXPECT to find Mariachi bands at Mexican restaurants. It is the mark of a good Mexican restaurant. The concepts go hand in glove and when you hear a few of them, you will find teacher scoring you 2 out of 20 again if you complain about the music being loud! As you get older, you will notice the music getting mysteriously lower! And people want to know about things like the FOOD, which is absolutely amazing at Pipi’s. Some of the best in Puerto Vallarta. So either think for a minute or so or ask mummy what she thinks before scoring it publicly a 2 stars out of 5 while acknowledging that it is «actually OK». And you may have a long wait, but it’s worth it, getting out of certain parts of Utah: When you are allowed to order a drink, you might note that not only do most reviewers give the grub 4 – 5 stars, most reviewers seem to agree that the Margaritas are amongst the most gigantic and best in Puerto Vallarta! Check on this next year: There is a REASON why or how the owner can come to each table asking whether everyone is enjoying the place: Because(check all the reviews) he knows the answer.

«Awesome Margarita’s « My wife and I took some friends and visited PiPi’s Mexican Restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico a few weeks ago, and had a great time. The food in the restaurant is so good, but we went their for one of their 48 oz. Cadillac Margaritas. Buy one of these, and that’s all you need for a while. PiPi’s uses top quality Tequila and you must try one. Delicious !

This place is hilarious for large groups or if you want to have a fun, loud, cheesy time. We went with a group that knows the owners. We received excellent service and a lot of free shots, poured into our mouths. There was a great band that played music all night. I ordered a tortilla soup that was delicious. So cheesy and filled with chips, avocado and the broth was super flavourful. My husband thought the steak fajitas were just okay. My friend didn’t like the fish tacos, so her husband ate it. She ordered wings instead, and it was a large serving. Everyone else enjoyed their food, like the guacamole and shrimp. Portions are large. You don’t come here for lobster or fine dining. You come here to get tipsy and have fun. I wanted to go again, but my husband wanted to check out a new taco stand every night.

Pipi’s is to dining what performance art is to the arts. They give you a great dining performance. As soon as you enter the restaurant, they plop down gigantic Margaritas in your lap and start making guacamole in front of you. Piniatas are dangling from the ceiling. We had vegetarian fajitas that were incredibly tasty. A Mariachi band played Hava Nagila for us. Everyone who visits Puerto Vallarta should eat at this happy place.

Pipi’s is my favorite restaurant every time we come to PV(every 2 years). Fajitas are amazing and enough to feed 2. They will make any item customized the way you want it. The most fun about coming here is the live music. $ 80 pesos to sing any song you’d like stroud your table. They will even pose to take pictures while they play and sing. Service is amazing and if you need anything usually the waiter is nearby but if not ask any bus boy and they will get it right out to you. The guacamole here is freshly made right in front of you. Let them know how spicy you want it… mild, medium or hot. They will accommodate any size party and they take reservations as well as walk ins.

Fun Atmosphere, very festive. There must have been 3 birthday parties while we were there. Everyone was having a good time, music playing, the owner passing out shots… head back, straight into your mouth :-) Their margarita’s are well worth their price, they are grande! Free guacamole made fresh at your table, and the chips are very fresh light and crispy. Our dinner was very nice, portion size was just right, and we liked the fresh fruit garnish of cantaloupe and watermelon. Service was outstanding! Everyone of the staff was there to take care of you. You didn’t have to look around for your waiter, they anticipated your every desire. The owner personally visits with each table and watches the entire place and all employees to insure customer satisfaction. Very well managed! The menu is moderately priced, not cheap, but not excessive. We will be back, and it will be our«go to» place when we have company visiting.

Good, but too much food. Service was spectacular(we haven’t found bad service in a week here). Guac made at the table for you, tips recommended. Musicians playing also at your table, also for tips. Margaritas the size of your head… unnecessary but kitschy. When we left, we were completely overstuffed in not a good way. We felt the place was loud and too much food was left behind. We only ordered two entrees, but with the fresh guacamole and monster marg, maybe one entrée and one appy would be sufficient.

Pipi’s is a «must eat at» place when you are in Puerto Vallarta. It’s not classic Mexican but more of what we have grown to expect in the U.S. with sides of rice and retried beans. The food and service are excellent as well as the quart sized Margaritas! The table side guacamole service is an experience. You have not lived until you have eaten such a freshly made side dish. In this visit I had chicken enchiladas with red sauce. The chicken was breast meat that was nicely prepared and not dried out(common mistake at some places) and the sauce was a perfect homemade red enchilada sauce. Yum!

Always fun place to stop. Our standard every year. Typical tourist spot but great service. Guacamole delivered to table as soon as seated. Mariachi band always on hand to play for tips. Chili relleno very good as are shrimp fajitas. Huge margaritas.

Went there tonight for dinner. Best guacamole and best fahita’s we ever had. They are not cheap. Music is great. Some tips: — share a fajita. You can get two each. — guacamole is a must as well as a beer. — After dinner walk straight down to the Malecon

This place was a lot of fun! I was in PV for a wedding for about a week and we did not get much time to get outside of the resort and and explore the city, but the night we did we wanted to get some low key standard Mexican food. We went to Pipi’s at the recommendation of our concierge and we were really happy we did. The atmosphere was great. Bright lively place located just about two blocks from the main drag, mariachis walking around taking song requests for tips, and the occasional bartender coming around with free shots of Tequila. The service was fast, attentive and friendly. Just really on top of it. No waiting for refills, food came fast, and it both food and drink were solid. I had the combination Fajitas and my friends had the seafood enchiladas. The portions are really big and perfect for sharing if you don’t have a big appetite. The margaritas were also really big and really strong. In general just a really comfortable, no frills, reliable mexican place. Glad we went!

Whenever our cruise ship stops in Puerto Vallarta, we always make it a point to visit Pipi’s for quick snacks and drinks. They have huge goldfish-bowl-size margaritas, very reasonably priced, that they can make in over a dozen flavors. And the complimentary table-side guacomole is delicious. They make it mild, medium, or spicy based on your request. We typically get a couple of the combination platters to share, which everyone loves. It’s a few minutes walk up the hill from the center of town, so it’s always easy to get to after shopping around town.

Okay, Pipi’s is admittedly geared towards the cruise liners coming into centro Vallarta; particularly with American tastes in mind that appreciate gargantuan portions, but who can argue with a excellent margarita the size of a goldfish bowl after a «stressful» day of shopping at nearby zona Romantica and a rain storm? Flaming fajitas were excellent as were the shrimp burritos and chimichangas. Service was rapido and the atmosphere was fun and energetic with a live mariachi band! Olé!

Pipi’s in Puerto Vallarta is a Great place to eat and just let loose. Its a fun and vibrant place and looks like there is a party going on outside the restaurant. Some people would call this touristy and I can see that, but for me it was fun. Not every place that’s good has to be nondescript in PV. We were there in the«off-season» and it was busy so I can see that during the regular season there would be lines. The table roaming mariachis were great and played our table some requested songs for a modest amount. The kids and family loved the mariachis. Now while I didn’t have one, I can attest that the Margaritas are HUGE. One thing I can highly recommend is the tableside handmade guacamole which is done at the table and is astoundingly fresh and delicious. The guy who did this was very friendly and had it made very quickly. We ate here twice and everyone loved it. I had the beef Chimichanga and I could only eat half because it was so enormous. The taste of the Chimi was vibrant and fresh. I also tasted the combo fajitas and I would also recommend these as well. The wife had a lobster combo plate which she said was Amazing. The food here was fresh and delicious and well worth the trip. I would recommend PiPi’s to eat at while visiting Puerto Vallarta.

This is a real Mexican experience. Great for groups. Live mariachi stroll the Restraunt as you dine. The place is usually packed. Lined up out the door to. Be warned it is pricey here. but, the food is plentiful, and the Margs are huge and strong. Very attentive staff make this somewhat a Fine Dining Fun Mexican dining experience. highly recommended.

After touring the beauty of Puerto Vallarta we thought what a better way to end it than with a meal at a well regarded restaurant before returning back to the ship. Pretty unusual name for a Mexican restaurant, but it’s all good. We got seated and immediately the waiter came over for drinks. As soon as he left the chips and salsa made its way over. Right after that we had a guy making table side guacamole. He blurted out mild, medium or hot and we all said medium. After we got our drinks, some chose the monster margarita and a few of us had a couple of bohemia’s, we were ready to order. I ordered the pork marinated in a red sauce. Another friend ordered the lobster. The red sauce was tasty with the pork, but the pork was a bit dry and chewy. The lobster was amazing, as a friend let me try hers. Overall, I really enjoyed this place and even though my pork was not as good as I hoped, I would definitely come back and try something else.
