Lunch we sat out on the sidewalk– lots of fun all enjoyed their food– carne asada tacos and fajitas were the table favorites. Had to ask for the bill multiple times was the only drawback.

I had never been to a Señor Frogs before and it was a pretty fun experience. The party I was with wanted to venture into the city to «experience the city» and after a couple of hours of shopping and walking the nearby beach we stopped at Señor Frogs. It wasn’t too busy in there and it seemed like we had the attention of all the people that worked there. Funny thing is that all the tables got equal attention. Whenever you needed something someone was there to take your plate or get you another drink or just have conversation which is a little different from other restaurants. I wanted to eat light so I just ordered the guacamole which they come to your table and make fresh. It was a large quantity as well for the guac, which pretty much turned out to be a meal for me. There was a lot to choose from in general though if you were getting an entrée. Some people in my party got wings, others got soup or sandwiches or other hot dishes like the sizzling fajitas. The drinks were pretty good too. Some where strong on the alcohol, others weren’t but everything was reasonably priced. A guy came around and made everyone balloon hats even though we were all adults. So it was kind of cute to see grown adults with funny balloon animals on their heads daintly sipping seafood soup or gnawing on some chicken wings. Don’t forget to tip the balloon man. One thing I did notice is that there was only one girl working there with about 20 guys, so hopefully that’s not representative of other Señor Frogs. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely stop in again if I was in the area.

Original Date: 6÷30÷2015 After being bummed out from the bank, we were starving and ended up at Senior Frogs. We popped our cherry from eating at Senior Frog’s. I told our server that I was allergic to peanuts/peanut oil and she assure me that they don’t use it in their dishes. My friend asked what drinks were frozen because it was an extremely hot day since they were like only two choices so me and my friend just ordered one of each. I am a carnivore so of course I ordered myself a well done Malinche Flank Steak and my friend got the Coconut Shrimp. I wasn’t able to try my friend’s dish because I am allergic to coconut as well. Yes I know I have a lot of food allergies hehe. My friend took one bit of her pineapple dressing… oh boy, she was on fire lol and the sauce was hella spicy as well! I absolutely love my dish a lot and I made my own burrito with the corn tortillas. And my steak was bedded on a spicy sauce as well that kicks my meat a kick to it. Check out the menu for yourself ! Very yummy food =) There’s a clown walking around the restaurant making different balloons and being a funny character. We thought he was part of the restaurant but guess not… he works off tips!

Food was ok but when we went to pay the bill our server disappeared with the credit card. He was gone for about 20 minutes when we finally had someone else track him down. Finally got the card back. 3 days later MULTIPLE fraud alerts on my card started coming in. There was over 2000 $ of fraud charges pending. Please take pesos do not use your cards at all in Mexico.

Food was good and the restaurant was clean. However the other couple I was with paid the bill at the bar. They then walked outside to smoke while my husband and I gathered our things. We were approached by our waiter who stated that there was no tip left. My husband gave him $ 200 pesos. Upon talking with the other couple at the resort that evening we found out that they had also left a $ 200 peso tip when they paid the same waiter at the bar.

Fun place to party, not great for a meal. Most people have heard of Señor Frogs. If you’re in college, on vacation in a tropical local, and looking for a place to dance a night full of regrets away… this is as good a spot as any. Decent prices. Fun atmosphere. It really is catered to the college aged crowd though. I had many a good night at this bar back in the day. It can definitely get pretty rowdy. Seen a few fights and almost got stuck in one myself. But that’s just what happens when you mix bros and alcohol. The food is ok. But there are so many better places to eat in the area. Just go for the party.
