This place is great! The oysters were large and meaty! The Arrachera was tender and the Pontchartrain Duck was moist, tender, and flavorful! We even got a bottle of Mexican Wine, Puerta Nueva Sauvignon Blanc! This place is a must! Attentive servers, very professional! Great ambiance!

My friend Nancy & I had one of the most fabulous meals that I’ve had in a long time! The bacon wrapped chicken stuffed with fresh spinish with a buttery burnt burbon sauce was out of this world. The entire experience was delightful! Margaritas weren’t bad either;)

My regular place for nearly six years. Great happy hour every day from 4 – 8 two for one. Great bar snacks and a good restaurant. Above all always a great social evening.

It was our first night in SMA, our first time to the city. Because we took the bus from Mexico City we didn’t have any lunch and were hungry too early for the late Mexican dinner time. We tried to hold out until 8:30 for a taco cart but finally caved in at 7:30 on a Sunday night. We were walking around SMA and stumbled upon Hank’s. Cajun/creole food in SMA??? Seems absurd to make this one of our 5 dinners here. Plus, it can’t be very good, right? Wrong. This was a lovely restaurant with large menus in both Spanish and English. We were seated at a window on a beautiful night. Our server was terrific. Extremely professional, very quick and friendly. The music is classic American rock when we visited. The menu includes items like gumbo, jambalaya and crab cakes which were tempting We ordered an appetizer salad… Spinach with blue cheese, bacon and apples. A great portion to split and just right combination of crunch and smooth, salty and sweet. I haven’t been good about my veggies this trip so it was really a way to get something in my body that was nutritious. Even if it was served with bacon. Our entrée was gigantic. Definitely a lot of food for two. I was grateful we were sharing it. We had the Chicken Bourbon Street and it was out of this world. A large chicken breast stuffed with spinach and covered in perfect crispy bacon. The sauce was to die for. I would have had it as a soup, that’s how good it was. There were sautéed mushrooms in it which would be easy to avoid if you’re mushroom-phobic. We ate every bite and used the bread basket bread to clear the plate of the sauce. Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera with me so no pics. Tempted to go again and order the same things but too many options in SMA to let that happen. One last note. We ordered two individual bottles of sparking water with lime. Normally we would get one small slice of lime that’s ridiculous for the quantity of water. Not here! We were each given a shot glass filled with fresh lime juice. Muy bien! Our total bill before tip was $ 370 pesos. A bargain for the atmosphere, service and quality/quantity of food.

This used to be the hangout for Expats but the last few years I’ve seen a lot of locals having dinner and drinks. The food is good. My only complaint is that the last time I had dinner there I had a glass of champagne. When I was almost done with my drink I tasted sugar. Pretty gross! I looked and at the bottom of my glass was leftover sugar from someone else’s drink. The server and the bartender pretended like it was no big deal and didn’t even discount the disgusting drink off our tab.

Very good food and atmosphere. Had swordfish with capers. Capers sauce had good vinegary base. Swordfish grilled just right. Calamari and roasted oysters were great. Good wines as well. Bar section was not too crowded(but still full) and lively.

Excellent atmosphere, service, and food. There were 5 of us who are all used to eating out frequently and nobody had a single complaint. Everything was cooked well, presented well, and the service was excellent. I recommend this place to everyone I know who is going anywhere near San Miguel.
