Cafe Urania

If you live in Mt Roskill, you know we have been pretty bereft of cafes. Most suburban shopping areas have 2 or more cafes– we have this one sterile place that calls itself a café but is basically a bad bakery which sells bad coffee. Thankfully, Café Urania has come to the rescue.
Serving up Atomic coffee in cool personalized cups, Urania has all you would want from an «espresso bar.» A back lounge, chairs out the front, and airline décor throughout the building. They also have a chandelier that is from the mercury theatre, which adds to the feeling that you have come quite far from Mt Roskill.
The coffee is well priced and comes strong, they serve food which looked tasty but I wasn’t really in the mood. Best of all, their loyalty card only requires you to buy six coffees to get one free, so the chances of actually remembering it and completing it are a lot higher.
A great addition to the area.
