Awesome!!! is the mildest word I can use to describe this experience. This is a flight simulator of a 737 – 800 with ALL the buttons, switches etc etc that you would find in one of the real planes which is used for fun, if you want to start doing it as a past time or for some pilot training. The guys who work there are all qualified pilots, some with many years experience behind them and still fly at times for airlines. It is really realistic showing the real views of the airport or area you are in and could scare you a little if you a little afraid of flying(one of the guys working there did tell us that at times it has been used to try help peoples fear of flying), you can choose from the majority of airports around the world from Whenuapai to Queenstown, or Auckland to Hong Kong or London Heathrow. One of the staff, we had a very friendly and informative pilot by the name of Roy, sits by you in the co pilot seat while you are in the captain’s and he will tell you which lever to pull, pedals to push etc for a take off and landing, and guide you through a fly over of wherever you may have chosen. I chose Shanghai Pudong and also got a short time over Hong Kong and they must have seen one of the worst take off and landing they have seen!!! Plus I nearly took out the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai !!! The flight packages you can experience range from $ 89 for a half hour intro flight to a 2 hour Ultimate Flight for $ 325. And worth every last cent I would say!!! They will take a photo as you are on the flight deck and a video of your flight, the photo costs $ 20 and the two items together $ 35. There is vouchers you can buy online as gifts and they also can cater to larger groups, as an entertainment for example. All in all, regardless of rain or shine outside I would highly recommend anyone to do this from young to old. You definitely will not regret and may even want to come back for more.
