Gong Li Chinese Massage

Sylvia Park have two Gong Li massage places this is for the one in the middle of Sylvia Park.
I was greeted by a non English speaking lady who couldn’t explain anything, had to ask someone else about refexology, which I was wanting. She still couldn’t explain what it was strange. All they told me was how long they would work on each foot.
Ended up getting the lady that couldn’t speak English.
It was $ 60 for 60 mins this is a 20 min neck & shoulder massage & 20 mins each foot. The neck & shoulder massage was ok but not once did she ever ask if the pressure was too hard which it was, when she finished she massaged the top of my neck & the base of my head with no oil VERY PAINFUL!
The foot massage was the same very painful! no asking about pressure I had to keep telling her it hurt. They wear gloves & use oil but when you are rubbing so hard & fast i thought she was going to give me friction burns again VERY PAINFUL!
As far as I’m concerned there was nothing therapeutic or relaxing about that whole 60 mins. My feet actually hurt more when I left than before I arrived. I heard a guy come in & want his hamstrings massaged they didn’t have a clue & sent him to there other shop. This makes me wonder if this shop is where they train. I certainly won’t be going back or recommend them.
Very poor. I’m off to soak my very sore feet!

Friendly staff, who are very welcoming — and speak very good English (which can be a barrier in these kinds of establisments). We wanted to get my grandmother’s shoulder massaged as she has been having calcification problems as of late in her rotator cuff. We chose the «should and neck» massage ($ 25 for 20 minutes) — she sat in a chair and they placed a towel over her shoulder/​neck for them to massage over (only outer clothing needed to be removed). The masseuse used a variety of chinese massage techniques and worked tirelessly for the whole 20minutes. We were very impressed with the service and my grandma was very happy after we left saying how much tension she had managed to release in such a short space of time. They offer massage services for all body parts (including full body massages) and also acupuncture (by appt and also for ACC claims). Located at the Pak N Save end of Sylvia Park Shopping Mall — you may miss this gem ! I liked the fact that it wasn’t in an open space like alot of these massage places are — set up in walkways in the mall. This was an actual store with curtains and a shop set up. Highly recommend !
