This where we come for our seafood. They always a good selection of produce, reasonable prices and their stock is (for the most part) always really fresh. They have all the whole fishes out on the floor on beds of ice and you can go through them yourself and pick the one you want. They offer a free fish cleaning service that is always handy (just make sure they scale the fish properly… that would be my one complaint about the place… depending on who you get, sometimes it’s a really shonky job). The workers there aren’t the most friendly people to deal with, but not unpleasant either. Just buy your fish and get out, don’t waste time! They’ve got smoked and frozen seafood as well if you’re after those things. Plus (if it makes a difference) Metro awarded them 3^rd place for best fishmonger in the Auckland region in 2011, which counts for something!
