Sphinx Cafe

I don’t know if it would be wise to actually eat here, but I wasn’t aware anyone actually came here to eat anyway. It’s all about the shisha at sphinx café.
Often at night, you will see hordes of people outside this café taking in the sights and getting shisha with it.
I was first made familiar with Shisha when one of my neighbors up here introduced me to it, if you have no idea what it is: it’s essentially a hookah pipe or a water pipe that enables you to smoke with comfort; flavoured tobacco which has been cooled and filtered by passing through water.
At Sphinx café there are many different flavours available: fresh lemon with mint, caffe latte, cola, vanilla, the weird list goes on. Each pipe/​session is about $ 23 here, but you get a decent amount, enough to share around friends.
Sitting around a shisha pipe on a hot Auckland night really brings to mind, sitting on a flying carpet with Aladdin somewhere in the Middle East, and no shisha is not a ‘herbal’ remedy, I just have an over active imagination.
