If you are a true lover of vintage you will love this place! The owner takes the upmost pride in his collection so it is a truly eclectic and authentic range of fascinators, fur coats, butterfly tops, vintage costume jewellery and everything beautifully antiquated. Price tag is high but rest assured it’s quality, unlike a lot of the overpriced trendy vintage shops that aren’t really vintage at all.
Thoroughly recommend a sift through their enormous collection! You are bound to find something you love

Vintage doesn’t get any better than Tango.
The best thing about Tango is that there quite literally isn’t a single thing in the shop that hasn’t been hand picked because it’s beautiful and high quality. There’s a definite aesthetic to the stock — a sort of campy, tongue-​in-​cheek take on glamour — that you’ll most likely love if you’re into vintage.
Tango is hands down the best place in town to get your hands on designer and name-​brand vintage that’s in top condition, but there are also less expensive items, like costume jewellery and handbags.
Not to be overlooked, the service at Tango is perfect — it’s always a comfortable browsing experience, but the guy who works there is really knowledgeable about clothes and is very helpful if you’re looking for something in particular.
In short: Tango should be your first destination for impressive vintage dresses and accessories.

This is the sort of place where I can imagine Greta Garbo just chilling out on a chaise lounge, classily smoking a ciggarette and blowing smoke rings into unsuspecting customers eyes.
You can see why this store is known as one of Aucklands best vintage stores, because the stuff sold here is actually vintage. Not just ugly stuff people dont want anymore. It is a veritable treasure trove of antique things I instantly craved.
Court shoes, fur stoles, dresses so authentic they look like they could even have mothholes (they dont, dont worry)
Though the guy working there could probably take a lesson in customer service, I was just taking a photo and he near about booted me out. How rude.

Do you like to pretend you’re way way cooler than you actually are?
Do you think you should have lived during the roaring twenties or something dumb like that?
Do you have heaps of disposable income?
Do you like to impress people by showing them how your suit has some discernable amount of horse hair in it?
Do you like dumb hats which cost a lot of money?
Do you enjoy wearing fur which has been pulled from the carcasses of murdered animals?
Go to this place if you say «Yes» to any of that stuff.

Have you ever wasted an afternoon sifting through a second hand store in the forlorn hope that you will stumble upon a gem, a little nugget of fashion gold? Well it turns out that there is a guy doing that for you. Tango is a reseller of premium vintage clothing. The nice Morocon store owner has made a great job of the place, a beautifully presented array of clothing, creepy mannequins wearing old jewellery, gaudy mirrors to check yourself out, all accompanied by old jazz records. I found an old Levi’s shirt sewn in the 1960s, perfect condition, it was literally nicer than any new Levi’s shirt that you can find in a modern store. As the store owner was folding it up, he explained to me that the materials and care put into Levi’s clothing has steadily degraded with time, the shirt I was buying an empirical testament.
