The Store at Pier Z is a subsidiary of the next-door Billfish Café. It serves coffees, pies, sandwiches, cold drinks and sells a few essentials to the yachties who come and go from Pier Z seemingly endlessly. Opening at 5.30am they are there in time for the first yachties to get a steaming cuppa and a bag of bait on their way out.
The coffees are consistently good and the food tasty, but you pay about a 40% premium on the nearby Hollywood Bakery. Also be prepared to wait a good 10 minutes for a hot drink even if you are the only one there. If they could speed up their service a bit and increase their range of stock (where are the beers for the boaties?) they would do a roaring trade.
