Torpedo Bay Playground

As an 80’s kid I remember playing here, fluoro’s and all. This was the spot — a multi-​storyed playground with a massive slide down from the top. Apparently safety codes have been tightened since then because safety bars now line the two-​tier play structure but it has also been extended quite a bit and still boasts a cool tubular slide for the kiddies. Setting couldn’t be better as it backs onto the North Shore Cricket grounds with public toilets right there and Torpedo Bay beach is directly across the road, perfect for swimming although its a little bit rocky once the tide is out.
