Wairau Valley Hospice Shop

Whenever I am on the Shore I make the effort to come in. Yes, it’s a large store. They have a variety of second-​hand, used goods. Clothing and accessories, home-​wares, toys, books, bric-​à-​brac, dvds, cds etc. I find this store over-​priced for a majority of items. However, have found the odd bargain.

This is the biggest Hospice shop on the shore My mom visits EVERY day! She must be such a local there… how embarrassing. But I shouldn’t complain because the bargains she find usually benefit me in some way or another. The latest purchase was a pretty cool handbag. Excellent condition, black, and perfect for every day use. It’s got so many pockets for my crap I can fit all my nick nacks in it! The last time I went to this Hospice I arrived early — just as they were opening. I was so surprised to find people outside literally gathering around the door! There were seriously about 12 people milling through the car park waiting for the beloved doors to open. It was incredible. When they were opened everyone dashed inside and started looking around. Such a weird experience. Anyway moral of the story — so worth having a look, even if you have to queue outside the door as it opens.
