Challenge

You don’t really see many Challenges (ha) these days, they’ve all been replaced by BP/​Mobil/​Caltex etc. This particular station has an almost rural feel to it, even though it’s in Puke centre.
The service, when compared to the typical BP/​Mobil/​Caltex is excellent. They have staff on the forecourt at all times, and actually fill up your car for you, making you feel like you’re back in the 90s. I must say, it’s nice to be greeted with a smile, pay, the guy fills up, taps the boot when they’re done and you can just drive off. A very different and unique petrol station experience, and a true display of the old ways — that is awesome customer service.
Challenge also sell race gas which is convenient if you’re headed to the local race track.
