Great spot just off the beaten path. This shop sets the bar high in Amsterdam with its friendly atmosphere and amazing service. Besides, the coffee here is fantastic. Happy Buddha is the way to start your day.

Located in the Joordan area. Really good spot! Came here for the chocolate cupcake space cake. Highly recommend for anyone visiting in amsterdam

California be ware: there’s nothing here that compares to our crops. This surprised me about Amsterdam but the plants here are genetically modified so overall it makes sense. It’s worth the trip try them

Definitely one of my favourites in the centre!
Friendly staff who always greet me as I come in (I’m far from a regular, maybe coming in once a month) but I always feel straight at home. Nice interior, decent food/​drink prices, and an extensive weed menu (albeit a bit pricey). If you like Barney’s coffeeshop, you’re definitely going to love Amnesia! It has their better strains (cookies kush, liberty haze) for 1 euro less, and they might even give you a small discount if you’re a local (like myself obviously). Also good if you want to play a game of checkers or backgammon while smoking a fat spliff!

Very cool coffee shop slash herb dealer! I like the décor and ambiance. They are pricier than the other coffee shoppe I visited but they did have quality bud. It’s located on the corner in a white building and if u are not attentive one could pass it right up. They only accept cash euros. And it ranges from € 10 and up. They do serve drinks, I got green tea with sugar cubes and my friend had a cappuccino. The place wasn’t crowded nor smell I really liked the vibe here. Will definently be back

Amnesia is probably one of the nicest, most professional and enjoyable coffeeshops in Amsterdam. In a city where some coffeeshops look like they’ve given up in terms of décor/​cleaning — Amnesia really rocks in terms of places to hangout.
Situated close to the Jordaan area — it has great views of the Herengracht canal and you can bump into some really interesting people here. The budtender was properly knowledgable and nice to chat with about what the overall scene in Amsterdam is like at the moment, while the guy running the indoor café made a great coffee.
Definitely a place to put on your must visit list if you’re heading to Amst — nice work!

Amnesia was like a lot of other coffeeshops. Not very cozy, with not much seating. I tried their space cupcake. It tasted great but unfortunately was so un-​potent that I didn’t get any sort of buzz from it at all. Also, for some reason they won’t sell you coffee/​tea unless you buy their «coffee».

Cool coffeeshop, good staff and a nice décor. I was surprised by this place, and it’s owned by Barneys now, so they’ll carry stuff that Barney’s doesn’t have. This is a keeper, and new on my rotation. Nice staff too!

Freaking amazing. This place was my first experience with coffeshops in Amsterdam. The service was excellent. Staff took the time to explain or answer any questions I had. The prices are good and the music is awesome. Great vibe! I loved it so much that I went back, after trying other shops during my 3 day visit, on my last day before departing. I’ll definitely be back.

Kinda rude service by the two girls who work there and a small menu. Overall mediocre.

I’ve tried 3 other shops in Amsterdam, this one was the best. Pro and fast service, I asked the guy to help me out with recommending something. This shop was far the cleanest compared to the others.
Bought a premade to try and a pack of nycd, paid in total somethin like 18 €. The recommendation was perfect :)

Birthday in Amsterdam and I was in desperate need of a space cake. Me knees were aching and Im getting old… Amnesia not only helped forget my aches of American football past but helped me forget my pains of the present. I will visit again my friends.

Amazing place with sit outside in front of canal. Chilly place. Grate team and nice products. Definitely one of the best place.

Mellow vibe. Disappointed with the tea, was expecting hot ‘homemade’ what I got was a bottle of plastic iced tea. Nice guys and chilled ambient trance playing at a low volume. Very enjoyable though, people are friendly and approachable.

I’m a long time smoker of Purple Kush that had taken a sabbatical, of sorts, from da weed… Well, enter my first trip to Amsterdam and I wanted to partake. But I know how picky I am with my weed (hell, because I’m originally a NorCal girl and I’ve been to the Emerald Triangle) so I’m glad my first coffeeshop experience in Amsterdam was in Amnesia. It has a jazz lounge-​y type décor/​set up.
But what I really appreciated, outside of not having cheesy weed-​themed décor, was that they didn’t make you feel like a dumb tourist. I went up and asked for a Sativa, since I wanted to stay awake and not feel too dopey while enjoying Amsterdam (since I know the Kush makes you sleepy as hell). Enzo is a great guy, he recommended some Acapulco Gold, which treated me oh-​so-​right! I came by 2 days later, and Enzo not only remembered me, but what I had smoked and recommended the next level up, the Amnesia-​something (ha, I forgot, lol). I had tried some weed from The Dolphins shop and it was total garbage, so it was a sharp contrast to the goods at Amnesia.
I’d have to say that the Acapulco Gold did me a solid and kept me nicely stoned for a 2 – 3 hours. I borrowed a bong at first at the shop but then purchased a pipe off the street to handle leftovers and any other smoke trip afterwards. Enzo gave really good service and deserves a shout out for making my trip so nice! I did get no reaction from a space cake, which I was told, could happen if your tolerance is too high… LOL But what happened was that I scraped off the frosting on the Space Cake because I hate super sugary food and I’m convinced I scraped off my potential high. Damn.
Definitely worth a visit and a return!

I loved this place, the staff was super nice and helpful in bud selection & the dealer even rolled one for me. I loved the space cupcake it was delicious and came in handy when I went on a red light district tour which made it even more fun. The next time I’m in Amsterdam, I will make it my business to stop by again!
However is visiting Amsterdam should definitely visit this coffee shop!

Amnesia is my favorite coffee shop in Amsterdam (and we’ve visited 5 – 6 others)! Aside from its fantastic location (and only 2 blocks away from our apartment, yay!), the atmosphere is very pleasant. The staff are really friendly, the drinks and snacks are delicious, and the product is good. As an added bonus, they play awesome music too! Truly a gem and I’m sad to leave this place when our visit ends ;(
I love the latte macchiato with chocolate soy milk and I get it almost every single time I go. My boyfriend liked the ham and cheese toasties as a light munchie! We also tried the limonata, which is a blended lime and mint drink –really refreshing but I’d only recommend it if you love fresh mint (which I do)! The pre-​rolls are also massive and tasty :) Oh, and they have grinders, bongs, pipes, and vapes for you to borrow/​use!

Amnesia is my favorite coffeeshop, tied with the Dampkring II closer to Amsterdam Central. Great smoke, yummy drinks, nice staff. Everyone there seems to choose a different way of smoking (try the Volcanos) and the patrons are very friendly. There are board games offered, and there are microscopes so you can examine the crystals on their product. It’s a little far from the station and there is no wi-​fi, but otherwise I totally recommend it.

What a CULTURE SHOCK. Coming from California, I was already mind blown after walking through the Red Light District. Is this real life?
Coffee shops are amazing out here and honestly I just felt like I was dreaming. I am not really a smoker but our friend we met here goes all out so we did one of those volcano bags and it was excellent. Just a very relaxing feeling with no worries.
They also gave us a free minty slushy while we were there, so sweet! The décor is cool and laid back.
I can’t really speak on pricing because our dutch friend took care of us but I’m sure it’s comparable to other shops in the area.
I recommend this spot if you are visiting or a local, the staff was awesome and they will make you feel at home.

This is a coffeshop, that’s why it has 5 stars. It’s a one kind of a place in the world. They have their own brand, you can have a tea. The area is incredible, in front of a beautiful canal.
They have special machines where you can inflate a plastic bag that goes hot and it vaporises. That way you can inhale the vaporiser in a plastic bag that looks like a balloon. The ambiance is funny, lots of young people, you feel like you are in a college cafeteria.
