Easylaughs

Along with my husband and another couple, went to see a comedy performance by easylaughs last night in the CREA Café in Amsterdam. We missed the 8 pm performance completely because of general lateness, but arrived just in time to purchase a few beers in the café and grab seats for the main show at 9 pm.
The format of this improv performance involved five «art directors» who each introduced a movie concept for the audience to vote on and alter with random suggestions about location and objects. The actors performed scenes from each movie concept, and the audience continually whittled down the five concepts by voting for their favorites, until there was just one final movie left that won the show. The price was right (€ 10 for both the 8 and 9 pm shows), the actors were talented and genuine, the crowd was relaxed, and the café next door served as a great place to grab a drink between scenes and after the show. I would highly recommend this event to others and will definitely try to see their shows again.
Overall, this is a very good alternative to Boom Chicago. ;) And in a very different part of town, which is nice. Bravo easylaughts!
