We’ve given this place several tries since we live very nearby, but we’ve left on three separate occasions because server and/or bartender does not acknowledge our presence after 15 – 20 minutes of waiting, making eye contact, and even flagging someone down(who responded«someone will be with you in a moment»). When we do actually get service, it’s mediocre at best, as is the food.

They definitely need some improvements. I got the feeling that they weren’t really interested in having any customers at all. Why the three stars, you ask? Well, the inside was very nicely decorated and I hope that they improve their service and menu. Their portion of their fries was so not amusing that we decided it would be a good idea to deliver this to the staff(thinking they might appreciate the feedback). However, I don’t think they took us seriously. We were so not happy here that we finished our beers as soon as possible, got out of there and went across the street to the Kingfisher Café in order to get some decent food.

The second most popular export from Ireland, after Guinness, Irish pubs! This one, located in the center of the pijp has the same décor and food as most Irish pubs I have been in my life. It caters mostly to foreigners that are looking for the same time of extra establishment they have at home over their holidays. Given the range of options in this part of town, I would not recommend this bar unless you are after the pub experience. Food wasn’t particularly good and service was a bit sloppy. The only highlight in my opinion, is the number of tv’s they have which makes it a great place to watch sports over a pint of Guinness.

This place is ridiculous, sorry. They really need a good manager to better this service. We sat, nobody came for like 15 min. Nobody around. My husband called a guy twice. He didn’t even say hi, nothing, just«what» with a unfriendly face. ONE hour until we get a simple small club sandwich to share. One + hour, actually. No «sorry», no smiles, nothing. This place really sucks, and actually, unfair. I actually asked for a glass with ice, never arrived. Then i stood up to get some napkins to eat te sandwich, nobody ever came. I stood up to the bar, and that same guy just put napkins without even looking at me. He left me standing there waiting. This is silly, really. I will never recommend this place.

Sehr netter Pub zum Billard spielen oder gemütlich ein Bier trinken! Atmosphäre ist Super, Essen ist ok! Burger recht klein und Pommes schmeckten aufgewärmt! Nachtisch(brownie) sehr lecker!

Well apart from it having the singular best name ever conceived(hint) it’s also a pretty cool bar. The bar itself was shipped from Belfast a while ago and it was at the time of writing the longest bar in Amsterdam. Or I made that up. Who knows, who cares, it’s bar. The Guinness is good though maybe not as good for you as the advertising would suggest and you can generally meet decent souls, especially if you enjoy a smokey, chatty terrace. Also the food has definitely improved. I would never normally recommend food in an Irish bar, but if it’s going to make the difference between walking home and being carried, well then it’s really not the worst. I go mostly to watch the sports as you tend to get more local-expat-crowd if that’s not too oxymoronic for y’all. But you know what I mean, the other bars in town tend to get the weekend blow ins who are«mad for it» and they are always best avoided. I think it’s a shame they don’t do more with the back room and as much as I love playing pool I really don’t need to hear narcotically enhanced business douches slapping their chests at every potted ball while I’m trying to watch the rugby. All in all it can be summed up by Brendan Behan who famously said «Guinness gets you drunk» If you can’t have fun after that then it’s mostly your fault and not the premises. Ooh there’s an idea, I want to review people!

This pub WAS great in 2011, but changed owners. The new boss chose to cut the amazing Caesar Salad altogether and the Fish & Chips are now frozen — Not freshly battered. A shame and no longer a destination. the neighborhood is nice though.

This is a nice and typical Irish pub in the Pijp, located next to several other bars. Sometimes, during the weekend it can be hard to find a seat at this place(I dont think there are very many seats), but this isnt a very big deal since there are a lot more cafes in this neighbourhood so you and your friends can still hang out :) This is a very nice pub though, I like the warm cosy interior. You can also eat at this place, nice and typical British dishes you would expect at a place like this.

A typical Irish pub with wood features, Guinness signs and endless choices of spirits and beers. The staff was friendly and a relaxed atmosphere. Outdoor patio and Pool tables in the back. Best location being on the corner. We will drop by for a pint again.

I was in O’Donnell’s Irish Pub two times in September 2012 for breakfast. The weather was fine, so we could sit outside of the pub, enjoying the sun. The service was very friendly and the prices ok. So if you are in Amsterdam i recommend visiting this Pub.

It’s a surprisingly spacious place with lots of different seating options; a very long bar, booths, tables which all translate into good options for different sized groups. They have a good beer selection on tap and the staff is all pretty friendly. It’s location near the Albert Cuyp makes it ideal while shopping; I’m sure it’s pretty nice when the weather allows the terrace to be open.

The Irish Pub in Amsterdam with the longest bar … really! Located in De Pijp area … trendy and hipster… perfect to end up your evening … or to start it Irish way. Beer beer beer … and very nice attitude form your hosts. Great corner location and also great terrace with heaters for colder evenings.

Pleasant enough Irish pub near the bohemian quarter of De Pijp. Wide selection of beers — as with all other pubs in Amsterdam, I suspect — and showed the different football games that were on that Sunday. Friendly enough staff who were a bit reluctant to recommend a beer for this non-beer drinker though.
