I recently spent 6 nights at this hotel and really enjoyed it. I had a room on the top floor, with a small balcony overlooking the park behind the hotel, and this was a perfect room — away from any noise in the front. But, also, the hotel is just a bit south of the main city center, so it avoids the loud noises associated with the Grote Markt. My room was basic but clean and comfortable — decent beds, a good TV with plenty of channels, chair, desk, small table, and a fairly large bathroom. I heard no noise from anyone on my floor all week. Breakfast was quite substantial each day, with plenty of hot and cold choices. WiFi was free and fast in my room. The staff is very friendly and was even willing to print and scan some paperwork for me when necessary. Would certainly stay here again for future trips to Breda!

I’ve enjoyed the 5 or 6 times I’m eaten in Keyser Golden Tulip, most of which were work engagements, and despite the warm interior stylings, the quiet atmosphere and good service make this an ideal location. Food-wise, a broad if entirely standard menu, offers steaks, burgers, prawns and ribs amongst a scattering of salads and Dutch staples. What it lacks in adventure it more than makes up for in execution. My standout star is the choose your own size steak, which goes all the way up to 450g in size. Ambience is quite quiet, gentle music and soft lights mean that you don’t have the problem of feeling like you’re eating in a bar, but not a high-class restaurant either. There is a great desert card too, with a pretty tasty strudel. The offerings behind the bar are good, lots of Dutch and Belgian beers for you to try.

Without a doubt the best Golden Tulip I stayed at(not a big accomplishment perhaps but still it is a good hotel). It is very centrally located near the city center(with lots of shopping, restaurants etc) and also with easy access from the train station. The hotel does not look like anything special from the outside but once inside it has a modern feel to it and the staff were truly friendly and very helpful. My room was a corner room on the 5th floor. The room had several windows which gave the room a slightly bigger feel. There was even a very small balcony. Other than that the room was pretty standard with a desk, TV and a few chairs. There was a water kettle in the room which I appreciate. I do however not understand the apparent aversion to providing an iron and ironing board in every room but I have gotten used to it after traveling extensively in the Netherlands(of course it is possible to get it by asking the reception but would still prefer to have it in the room). The bed was comfortable although it could have been a bit bigger. Everything was new and had a modern feeling to it. The bathroom was pretty standard with a bathtub. The hotel also offers free Internet(wifi) but you have to ask for the access codes at the reception. The breakfast was a step up from the standard business hotel breakfast with plenty of options to choose from such as hot food like pancakes, several types of eggs(fried, scrambled), bacon, sausages but also plenty of cold food. I was very happy with my stay and will most likely become a regular(seeing that I frequently travel to Breda on business).

This is a fine hotel to stay at in Breda. It is conveniently located near hte center of town. Walking distance to many bars and restaurants. Walking distance from the train station but depending on your baggage you may wan to take a cab. The rooms are nice. The beds are too soft for me and they’re single beds. but that seems to be a Netherlands thing.
