Not the largest room in the world, probably about the same size as the cabin I had on the ferry from Harwich. But it was quiet and it was secure, down a hallway around a corner and then down a flight of stairs. Wi-fi is free(get a code from the front desk), as is a large spread for a Continental breakfast. There is an evening restaurant and a bar, but I didn’t take advantage of either of those. The hotel is a half mile from Centraal Station, or you can take the tram and it’s one of the first few stops. There’s not much immediately nearby, but if you walk down to the Hofplein, there are restaurants. Or just keep walking straight and you’ll get to the Maritime Museum and more! Bonus: As with so many folks in the Netherlands, everyone I interacted with(even the woman clearing tables in the restaurant!) spoke fantastic English.
