Great introduction to Poland. Bright and airy space with friendly service. Began with an amuse bouche. Then for an appetizer we got the beef tartare and the cod pirogie. The perogie was great. The crust was flaky and the fish flavorful. The beef tartare was too coursely chopped and sinewy and fatty. The entrees were wild game stew with multiple meats, root vegetables and buckwheat grains(like farro). The other entrée was duck leg roasted, red cabbage(not as good as ours), mashed potatoes and apple chutney. The duck was well cooked and quite flavorful. We definitely liked this and would go back. They ended with a berry medicinal liqueur that was… Polish and flavorful, and appreciated.

So close yet so very far… Upon entering you’ll think wow. But then the fairy tale ends. Plastic chairs(WTF?) are suited to some restaurants, but not here. Also I don’t get the wall displaying the awards(but that’s just my taste I guess). For appetiser I had the Mexican soup. I had high hopes as this is a dish I really enjoy. Sure, it was cooked ok but the total lack of spice meant it was just minced meat in tomato soup. To be honest, I don’t recall what I had for main. It too was underwhelming and forgettable. The service was perfect. Making it 3 stars and not 1.

Ordered ribs that came with sauerkraut and artichoke. Awesomely flavourful, cooked to perfection and affordable!
