Very slow. Arrived at 9 pm and they informed the kitchen was closed. Decided to have a beer anyway but half of the options from the menu were sold out. Took me an average of 10 minutes to order each beer, and it was not because the amount of people.

Bar hopping? Yes, this is a good checkpoint. You can get a 5L can of beer for 90PLN. Share with friends you made in the previous bars. Then move along. You get what you expect– BEER.

Distinct days, divergent intents. My «cyclist friend» and I decided to meet for dinner, only to find out that the friend had already eaten and was only open to having more beer. We resolved that we should go to a beer oriented place. The name suggested the destination — Beirhalle. You cannot miss Bierhalle in Old Town — right in the middle of Nowy Swait. The place was almost full when we reached there around 1930(on a Wednesday evening). The place reminds you one of the old German breweries, big halls, waiters wearing the traditional dirndl and huge buckets/glasses/pitchers of beer all around. We found a table in cacophonous hall. When you are eating chicken the choices are made rather simple and short — which was good given that I was famished. I went for the Chicken Tortilla. I also ordered a bruschetta sensing that only the tortilla won’t be enough. The good-humoured waiter said that the food will take 20 mins to be served, though it was quicker than this. A wide variety of choices in terms of the beer was made available. I chose a lighter beer while my friend chose the darker one. The first taste that you feel after tasting the bruschetta is sweetness. I do not say it was not good but the tomatoes/cheese combination was sweeter than we expected. With some pepper and the red chilli sauce(served with the tortilla) made the bruschetta quite savoury. The tortillas were simply yummy. Unlike the regular tortillas the outer wrap was slightly hardened by frying. The filling was chicken with a generous portion of cheese. Served with sour cream, a red chilli sauce and a salad, the experience was sublime. If at all, the only complain was that the portion of food was not really enough and I probably could have another exactly same dish. We decided to substitute it with the beer though. The restaurant is moderately priced with the total bill running to close to 100pln. In large groups and right company(and I was lucky to have one) I believe that this place will be quite fun.

This place is a bit generic for me with just average beers. It is a good spot to hang out, however, or to pop in for a drink before moving on somewhere else. I probably wouldn’t make this my final destination for the night but a stop along the way.

If you’re claustrophobic, don’t go here. If you’re not, go here. So this place tries to be a German beerhall. It does a pretty good job but I feel what separates this place from others is their in house brew. They had different versions and tastes and it really suits anyone. Their food is quite tasty too. The place was packed… and not just with tourists wandering around crowded Nowy Świat, but with locals too. Service was quite efficient for such a crowded place… which actually surprised me.
