Dziurka od klucza

There would be five stars if not few small things. The place is very small so made a reservation in advance for 3 people. When we arrived to the place the table turn out not to fit 3 people that want to eat pasta. Luckily one of us wasn’t hungry but still it was a bit uncomfortable.
We have ordered two types o bruschettas — tomato, and one with asparagus. Both were delicious but the asparagus one was my personal favorite.
Than we had two pastas — carbonara and one with Sicilian pesto. Carbonara was nice but very heavy, made with bacon. My friend didn’t manage to finish it. It was good but I had better :) the Sicilian pesto pasta was delicious! It was as good that I wanted to go back next day! And I still think about that dish.
Due to not finishing carbonara we asked for a doggy bag, surprisingly it arrived in our neighbors table, and they were as shocked as we were. Than we asked for a bill and it lasted quite a while. So we did ask again, and here the waiters in not a polite way reminded us that she is aware of it. It wasn’t nice, so because of the table and not very nice waiters I give this place only 4 stars.

The food is 5 stars or more but unfortunately there is more to the experience than just the food.
I love Dziurka od klucza. As it wasn’t my first time there I can easily say that it’s one of the best Italian food in Warsaw. And the interior is just beautiful.
Remember to make reservation by sending txt message — you can even choose a table. Place is cozy and small so it’s necessary if you don’t want to wait or not get in at all. Now they put few tables outside.
This time we got seasonal bruschetta with asparagus and mozzarella, regular bruschetta with tomatoes and basil. Both were fresh and super tasty. I love asparagus so much!
As main course we got carbonara and Sicilian pesto. Girl explained to us that carbonara is made only with yolks no cream and it might be a little salty but it was great. Portions are so big that I took rest of it home and finished before bed time. Sicilian pesto with roasted almonds, sun dried tomatoes and basil was light and delicious. It was hard for me to decide which one I liked better.
We were thinking about getting dessert as they look incredible but our stomachs were full :)
It was such a great afternoon with my friends unfortunately not everyone was in good mood. The girl who was helping us was unpleasant and very very slow. When asked to pack rest of the food for me she did but then left it without a word on different table. After asking for check and waiting for long time my friend went up to her to remain her and she said that she is working on it. And then send a different girl over. Maybe she had not such a good day.
It never happened to me before at Dziurka od klucza but Unilocal is not only about the food. I can’t wait to get back there and have full 5 starts experience:)

The service and the food here has always been excellent.
It’s small so be sure to make reservations especially during winter when only the indoor seating is available.

Un restaurant formidable.
Difficile de trouver un bon restaurant quand on né parle pas la langue du pays mais grâce à la formidable CM de Varsovie j’ai découvert celui ci.
Un restaurant italien moderne avec un choix de plats éclectique et goûteux. Les meilleures pâtes que j’ai mangé. Linguine au speck, poire, gorgonzola, et pistache. Un délice!
La décoration du restaurant est vraiment réussie. Des portes et des clés. Normal puisque que son nom indique le trou de la serrure.
Il faut réserver pour avoir une table a l’intérieur car le restaurant est très populaire.
Un menu vraiment sympa et abordable. Situé pas loin mon endroit préféré de Varsovie (la bibliothèque de l’université), je recommande vivement ce restaurant.

Great place with amazing ambience. It’s located at one of the tiny quiet streets few minutes away walk from main downtown area. Food. just visit and try as many dishes as you can-​great taste, great presentation. Very authentic! This place is amazing for a nice dinner for couples or small group of friends. Not many tables inside or at the patio outside but this is one of few things which makes this restaurant even more enjoyable! Staff is outstanding. great knowledge about menu. Very welcoming and smiling. I will visit Dziurka od Klucza with my next visit in Warsaw definitely!

Great Italian food and atmosphere. Located in a quite street next to the university. Beautiful décor.
Sadly the place does not serve alcohol, which would have made our experience perfect.

This flimsy but atmospheric spot represents one of the best Italian cuisines in Warsaw.

Amazing food!!! Everything was ridiculously awesome! All the pastas, salads, deserts arw world class! Coffee is possibly the best I’ve ever had and I’m half Italian half Australian! I got standards! It’s hard to find food this good in Italy!

Love love love! I have to say this was one of my absolute favs during my visit to Poland. Had their roasted duck with peaches and figs and gnocchi and a salad as a starter and it was like all places in Poland a hearty portion! I savored every bite. Bardzo Bardzo Bardzo Smatshnie!

This place is rated the highest in Warsaw for a long time now, and it’s for a good reason. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great dinner, especially Italian cuisine aficionado. All their pastas is house-​made. You can actually see a bunch of drying pasta hanging in the kitchen :) The menu is extensive, many pastas to choose from: complimented with meat, seafood or vegetarian option. The restaurant is rather small, do make reservations in advance. There is a small outdoor seating area in the front. Oh, and a nice perk is it’s BYOB.

I really like this little place. I’ve actually come here already twice and both times I enjoyed the intimate, personal and friendly atmosphere. In fact, you really can tell that the people running this place have their heart in it as they pay attention to details!
I really like the fact that they make their own pasta and that the pasta is incorporated in the decoration of this place. (The drying past makes a beautiful decoration, in fact!) I also really enjoyed chatting with the owner and she even enlightened us on the recipe for the non-​alcoholic spiced drink that they were serving this past winter.
Great local place, friendly staff, and yummy food!
